Classify and analyse whether intellectual property laws protecting copyrights, patents and trademarks extend to the metaverse, and in respect of each of these rights, explain and differentiate, by reference to relevant statutory provisions under Singapore law which you should identify, the requirements for and the nature of the exclusive rights granted. b. Discuss the implications of supporting or opposing the IP waiver plan. Justify with reasons, in light of the emergence of the Omicron variant, and taking into account the actions of Pfizer above, your views as to whether supporting or opposing the IP waiver are more convincing, and assess whether the IP waiver will in fact achieve practical benefits of providing more universal access to Covid-19 vaccines.
