Provide at least one outside resource other than those that are given to you. Part 2: Strategic Plan You have convinced your administrator that your clinical documentation program has stagnated. Review the 2016 AHIMA Clinical Documentation Toolkit. You will need to be a student member of AHIMA in order to access the materials. Based on the information in the Toolkit, and the discussions with your peers, formulate a high level strategic plan for rejuvenating your program. Include in your plan the following: a. Departments and key personnel to be involved. b. Three main goals of the program. c. Your plan for identifying the first 5 diagnoses that you will investigate. Be specific. Cite some on-line resources. d. The metrics and benchmarks that you will use to evaluate success or failure. e. Timeline for implementation and follow-up.
