Locate and attend a theatrical or musical performance that is being offered in person or livestreamed or is available on YouTube--or visit an art exhibition either live and in-person or virtually and write a review for the rest of the class. That could mean making a visit to an art museum in Baltimore such as the Walters Art Gallery, the Baltimore Museum of Art, or the The Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African-American History & Culture, or visiting a museum in the town where you live, or perhaps making a virtual visit to one of the many art museums throughout the United States or elsewhere in the world. Or you might attend a play, a dance recital, or a concert. While the pandemic is going on, many cultural events are being made available to the public online. Shop around. You should start looking around now for something to see. If you have recommendations to make to your classmates, post them in the Discussion Forum. When your review is complete, please post it in the Discussion Forum for others to enjoy. Once you have selected something to review, make sure you see the entire exhibition or stay until the end of the performance. Take a picture of the program with your phone and post it along with your review. Your review should describe all the different artifacts in the exhibition or performance and evaluate them. You should also evaluate the way the artifacts were arranged to create an artistic whole. Think about the story that the exhibit or performance is trying to tell and assess how well that story has been told. Consider how the artifacts in the exhibit or performance make you think or how they make you feel or both. Post your review here and also in the Discussion Forum so your classmates can see it. With this assignment you must review the entire perfromance on this youtube video of Lafayette Gilchrist who is a musical artist. My professor would like to hear about the music, the intstruments, the setup for the perfomance, the purpose as well. I copied the link at the bottom. Also, I've attached an example of how the assignment should be completed.
