For your final project, you are required to develop a contingency plan for one of two fictional organizations: EcoHome Energy Consultants or Gabriel Bedford Fine Foods (see attached documents for details). Your contingency plan should be between 5-10 pages, and should include the following major sections (refer to your textbook and online resources for additional specifics and formatting considerations): Cover page / Table of contents w. Page numbers Executive Summary Business Impact Analysis Identify critical IT resources Identify outage impacts and allowable outage times Develop recovery priorities Contingency planning policies Relevant personnel, Internal and External Communication consideration, Training: IR/DR/BC team and other organizational members, Testing & Revising policies & procedures: how?, how often?, etc. Incident Prevention & Response plan Software Hardware Network Appropriate use policies Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Plan Backup / Recovery Emergency planning Site-specific concerns/recommendations Conclusion & Recommendations Any appendices including charts, graphs, lists, or images. References or Works cited (can be in APA, MLA, or Chicago format) Your plan can be written from the perspective of an inside IT professional or an outside consultancy. You should write in clear, jargon-free language (wherever possible), using proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. While you will most likely utilize bulleted and numbered lists, you should work to write in full, complete sentences when explaining policy, procedures, rationale, justifications, etc. Use a clear organizing strategy so that the information you present is easy to read; remember, this plan will be presented to non-technical members of the organization who may not be familiar with all of the things you’re presenting. Keep your audience in mind. Your paper should be double spaced, size 11 or 12 Arial or Calibri.
