Lab Assignments Investigating Sustainability and Environment in the Bay Area

In this class, we will be conducting five lab assignments that investigate various components of sustainability and the environment of the Bay Area. The deliverable for each of these investigations will be a scientific lab report. All of our lab reports will contain the following six sections: The Dataset I chose is US Water and Agriculture 1. Introduction – Provides background information about the topic, establishes motivation for conducting the investigation, and is the place where you provide your HYPOTHESIS for expected results. 2. Materials & Methods – Provides a thorough description of all the steps you took to complete your assignment, including all of your data resources 3. Results – The results of your investigation, either quantitative or qualitative data, are provided here in the Results section. This is also where you would insert charts, graphs, or maps (which are known as figures). NO ANALYSIS OF RESULTS IS DONE HERE. 4. Discussion – The analysis of your results is done here! This is also where you would answer any direct questions from the lab assignment and where you would cite any sources of error.
