  Using “PICO” (Population Studied, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome), develop a plan to reduce inmate suicide while reducing the costs associated with suicide watches. State the P I C O components separately. There may be more than one outcome. The comparison group may include the current standard of care at the prison.

1. Based on your PICO plan, develop an appropriate research question based on what you would like to explore and achieve with your interventions. It requires a quantitative research question with independent and dependent variable(s).
2. Discuss the community engagement of at least one public and/or private partner who may be beneficial in improving the situation. How could they contribute? Describe specific organizations that are part of the surrounding prison community.
