a. Develop and articulate a theoretical or practical perspective on management issues through a substantial applied project
b. Demonstrate collaborative leadership and ownership in the preparation of a significant original body of practical or theoretical work
c. Use specialist research skills to analyse a complex management problem and then synthesise the research, communicating it effectively to both specialist and lay audiences
d. Synthesise concepts from a broad range of previous subjects studied (e.g. finance, marketing, operations), simplifying into an holistic big picture
Context:
This subject allows the student to synthesise the knowledge and skills gained from all other subjects studied up to that point. The main deliverable in the subject is a major project. In this final assignment, students will report on their individual experience.
Instructions:
Throughout the course of the subject, students develop a substantial project that assimilates the learning of all of their MBA subjects. This final report is about you journaling and reflecting on the process and experience of putting your business capstone project together.
In 2500 words or less, present a personal chronicle of what you contributed and experienced. Focus on what was challenging, what was easy or that you did not need to think about. What did you learn and how useful it is in future for you? It is advisable to do more research about reflective writing before you attempt this assessment.
Present the report as your way of demonstrating the wider implications of your learning. Though reflective and possibly written in the first person, the report still has to observe academic writing conventions and be logically structured.
