In general, the information in this section should be made up for the purpose of the assignment because your patient is not a real person. 3 Presenting Complaints This section should be dedicated to your patient’s symptoms. Since your patient is not a real person, you will need to make up their symptoms while making them as realistic as possible. So, for example, if you are writing about a person with depression, anxiety, and substance use disorder, you will need to come up with symptoms that typically occur with all of these disorders. (If you are going to look up symptoms because you don't know enough information about the conditions, please cite your sources properly using APA citation style.) Typically, medical professionals use specific assessments for specific conditions, and you will need to figure out how that’s done for your patient’s specific conditions. You will need to research this information and provide APA citations for the assessment methods that you are going to use for your patient. 6 Case Conceptualization Here you need to talk about the specific treatment plan that you have chosen for your patient and the scientific evidence behind it, with APA citations. 7 Course of Treatment and Assessment of Progress In this section describe the specifics of the treatment your patient underwent with you as their provider and how it went. So, for example, you can describe each individual treatment session, what exactly you did, and how the patient responded. Did they get better?
