A Regent staff member enjoys writing inspiring and encouraging articles. She posts them in her blog twice a week, and has found she can use her Facebook site to promote her blog, and her blog to promote her Facebook site. Four approaches Walton can use are monitoring the competition, allowing readers to actively engage, ensuring a mobile-friendly site's continuity, and marketing the blog.
Walton should target existing subscribers to her blog and Facebook followers to inspire customers to participate in these approaches (Kerpen, 2011, 156). When possible, Walton should allow readers to engage with the blog (Wilson, Guinan, Parise, & Weinberg, 2011, 2).
One option is to establish a section in which readers can offer feedback on her articles. While readers interact with the page, Walton will also need to engage with customers by acknowledging their posts.
Since people can access the Internet anywhere and at any time, Walton needs to ensure the blog remains mobile-friendly and easy to navigate (Human Service Solutions, 2021, 1).
The blog could lose readers to competitors without a mobile-friendly site because they would not adequately access the website. Limitations would include but are not limited to readability, navigation, and downloadability (Human Service Solutions, 2021, 2).
Walton's blog and Facebook page must stay up to date with the latest social media trends. As long as these trends align with Walton's mission, she should use them to draw in followers on her Facebook (Solis, 2013, 6).
It would be helpful to make one Facebook post about each entry posted on the blog. Walton could also offer exclusive content incentives and a chance to win a free copy of a single book or entire book series for followers on Facebook to subscribe to the blog (Stimac, 2018, 3).

Setting up a social media system capable of growing a customer following requires an immense amount of organization on the business. One approach to keep up with this tremendous task is S.M.A.R.T goals. Having specific goals lets companies answer the who, what, where, when, why, and how questions .
The organization will need both quantitative and qualitative data to see if it has reached its goals. All goals must be achievable, meaning the company can meet them with their current resources (Corporate Finance Institute, 2021, 1).
The goals should also align with the business' mission and vision. By having a deadline, companies hold themselves accountable when they either reach their goals or fall short. The S.M.A.R.T. approach is just one way for businesses to determine the implementation strategy's strengths and weaknesses (Boogaard, 2021, 3).
The information the business collects can serve as a model for later goals and plans for their implementation. On social media, it is all about creating and maintaining engagement with consumers. The second people lose interest, they will no longer like, post, and reshare the business' content.
One way to keep consumers interested in your business is to create videos less than two minutes in duration (Kerpen, 2011, 133). They can incorporate humor and not be a hard sell of its products or services because customers do not want to feel marketed (Dubois, 2010, 2).
Businesses can grow their following by hosting contests through their social media pages. These contests' can require users to purchase a product before entering or leave feedback regarding things the business can do to enhance their shopping experience (Unknown, 2021, 5). 6).
