Developing a Group Charter: Improving Group Dynamics

Task:

Read the Byrd & Luthy article, Improving Group Dynamics: Creating a Team Charter (2010). Your small group/team will develop a group (team) charter. You do not have an additional project or further problem. The task of the group is simply to develop the charter. To assist in focusing your discussions, the team may creatively develop its own mission and goals or tasks. Everyone will be assigned to a small group during Unit 1 and the charter will be due in Unit 9. At the time that the assignment is submitted, all team members will do an evaluation of all of the members of the team to include a self-evaluation.

? Ensure it is well-organized, logical, and unified, and that your work is original and insightful.
? Use the 6th edition APA formatting and citation style for your paper.
? Respond in a 4-page paper and if references are used, a separate reference Page.

Normally you would include the specific mission and goals of the team or group. This is not necessary for this assignment; however, you may decide to include brief mission and goals or tasks to assist the team in focusing on the charter. The above items are simply suggestions; your team may decide to include other items or delete items. There is not a specific format to use.
