Investigating the Relationship between Organizations in Tourism, Hospitality and Events Industries

Question 1: Overview of the Chosen Organization

Students are required to write a report in which they investigate the relationship between organisations within the tourism, hospitality and events industries. Students should select one:

Provide a brief overview of the history and current operations of the chosen organisation. Outline at least two.

Tourism, hospitality or events organisation that currently operates within Australia. The chosen organisation should not operate within the government sector or have been previously researched in a different class. Student must confirm the suitability of the chosen organisation with their lecturer. Within the report, students should.

Explain economic trend and briefly explain the impact that these trends have had on the operations of the chosen organisation and/or the tourism, hospitality & events industries in general. Practical examples of how the chosen organisation interacts with other organisations within the hospitality, tourism and events industries. Describe one (1) socio-cultural, one (1) environmental & one.

Students should make significant references to the subject material and substantial wider reading. A minimum of three (3) academic (books & peer?reviewed journal articles) & three.

2. Other sources (newspaper articles, trade publications, websites, etc.) must be used. These should be referenced in the APA style, both in?text and in a reference list. References to ‘Wikipedia’ or similar unsubstantiated sources will not be accepted.

3. Extensions cannot be granted by the lecturer after the submission date. In the event of serious illness or unusual circumstances, a student may apply for Special Consideration in accordance with the rules and regulations governing this application, but it is important that such requests be made as soon as the circumstance is known.

4. The report must be submitted through the Assessment section of the subject page in the learning portal. No email or hard copies will be accepted.
