Course Discussions: Posting Guidelines and Requirements

Word count and deadline

You will complete five Discussions in this course. You will post one thread of at least 250 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned Module: Week. The candidate must then post two replies of at least 100 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Monday of the assigned Module: Week. For each thread, candidates must support their assertions with at least one scholarly citations in current APA format. Each reply must incorporate at least one scholarly citation in current APA format. Any sources cited must have been published within the last five years. Acceptable sources include the textbook, journal articles, and other scholarly sources backed by research. Helpful Hints: Initial thread (at least 250 words) should be at least two paragraphs in length. View the Discussion Grading Rubric. The first sentence of each paragraph is an opening that states the main idea. The rest of the sentences in a paragraph give details that support the main idea. The last sentence is a conclusion sentence that “sums it all up.” A paragraph with details includes at least six sentences with the final sentence being a summary sentence. A summary sentence contains no details and is more of a statement
