Self Care Reflection and Plan Paper As current and future human services practitioners, students are encouraged to reflect on their personal wellbeing as well as institute a plan for practicing self-care. In this paper, students will: a) describe their current mental health and wellness; b) discuss factors that have contributed to this status (e.g., childhood experiences, setbacks, accomplishments, activities, relationships, etc.); c) cite personal coping and de-stressing strategies; and d) identify a plan for practicing self-care now, inclusive of daily, versus weekly, versus longer-term strategies for supporting positive mental and physical health and wellness. The paper should be 4 pages in legnth, double-spaced and follow APA format.
A cover page is required, but no abstract is needed. Three (3) outside sources should be incorporated into the paper. These can include books/textbooks, articles and credible on-line sources. This test looks at four (4) dimensions of personality; it does not diagnose personality disorders. After taking the test and learning about one’s personality type, students will run a Google search of credible online sources, in order to learn more the type. The paper should answer the following questions: What is your personality type? (Note: Your type equates with the four letters used to describe you upon finishing the test). Define each of the letters/descriptors. *Student should use the helpful guide to personality indicators, as posted below. Does this personality type resonate with you/well describe your personality? Why or why not? Give specific examples. For example, if you lean toward "Feeling", when have you made a decision based on emotion? Also include a discussion about the strengths and limitations of your type.

Helpful Guide to the “Personality Indicators” The first criterion, Extraversion – Introversion, signifies the source and direction of a person’s energy expression. An extravert’s source and direction of energy expression is mainly in the external world, while an introvert has a source of energy mainly in their own internal world. The second criterion, Sensing – Intuition, represents the method by which someone perceives information. Sensing means that a person mainly believes information he or she receives directly from the external world. Intuition means that a person believes mainly information he or she receives from the internal or imaginative world. The third criterion, Thinking – Feeling, represents how a person processes information.
Thinking means that a person makes a decision mainly through logic. Feeling means that, as a rule, he or she makes a decision based on emotion, i.e. based on what they feel they should do. The fourth criterion, Judging – Perceiving, reflects how a person implements the information he or she has processed. Judging means that a person organizes all of his life events and, as a rule, sticks to his plans. Perceiving means that he or she is inclined to improvise and explore alternative options. The agency description should be concise and focus on the ability of your agency to meet its mission. Provide a brief history and description of current programs offered by the agency, while demonstrating a direct connection between what is currently being done and what your program will accomplish with the requested funding. The statement of need must convince the reader that there is an important need among your agency’s client population that can be met by your proposed project. The statement of need includes: a description of the target population, including geographical area, appropriate statistical data in abbreviated form, and concrete examples of why your program should be supported. The methodology should present a clear and logical pathway to meeting the stated need. Describe the program in slightly greater detail as compared to the introduction paragraph. Provide an overview of the program’s operations (e.g., list objectives; make clear the participant experience; etc.).
Also explain how the program will be internally evaluated. Other funding sources are individuals, groups or agencies that have already committed, or you hope will commit, to funding part of your proposed program. (For example, if your program costs $32k, which is $12k more than the $20k maximum afforded by The Burrill Foundation’s grant, you will explain how and from whom you have already secured, or plan to secure, the additional 12k, via donations, a fundraiser, another grant, etc.) If you do not need additional funding to run your program, you can omit this paragraph.
