RNSG 1209 Introduction to Nursing

Katrina is a 55-year-old female with complex chronic back pain. Her pain has been managed with hydrocodone 2-3 times per day along with occasional complementary therapies. Her health care provider has been working with her to develop another pain relief plan without the opioid use. Review The Joint Commission standard PC. 01.02.07 (The hospital assesses and manages the patient’s pain and minimizes the risks associate with treatment.) and determine how you will meet this standard for this patient, as her RN.
