PPS as a DSS

This assignment is Question/Answers Based , I need two student version assignments , each one with 3000 words for answering the questions, The Answer should come with introduction , Answers with Citation as per APA 6 edition, The references page should be at the end as per APA 6 edition format , the front page should be the table of content.

The references for each student assignment should be different to avoid plagiarism with different paraphrasing even the answer will be the same meaning.

Q 1. Outline what is a PPS (Payroll Processing System) and how it can be utilized as a DSS (Decision Support System). (10 MARKS)

Q 2. What are the challenges of isolation/silos among departments, how can MIS solve this problem? (10 MARKS)

Q 3. What are management decision levels, list out an example of knowledge gathered from the same MIS which be used for these decision levels. (10 MARKS)

Q 4. (10 Marks- 5 each) – Analytical CRM warehouse.

a. Draw a sample diagram of connecting factors

b. Explain at least 3 analytical outputs of the data mining conducted on the warehouse?

Q 5. (10 Marks- 5 each) Discussion based analysis:

a. Perform SWOT analysis for starting a telco company.

b. Apply porters 5 forces to the same.

Q 6. Case study:

The BMW Oracle boat USA, backed by software billionaire Larry Ellison, beat Alinghi, the Swiss boat backed by Ernesto Bertarelli, a Swiss billionaire.

For USA, this meant using 250 sensors on the wing, hull, and rudder to gather real-time data on pressure, angles, loads, and strains to monitor the effectiveness of each adjustment.

The sensors track 4,000 variables, 10 times a second, producing 90 million data points an hour.

Managing all these data is Oracle Database 11g data management software. The data are wirelessly transferred to a tender ship running Oracle 11g for near real-time analysis using a family of formulas (called velocity prediction formulas) geared to understanding what makes the boat goes fast.

Oracle’s Application Express presentation graphics summarize the millions of data points and present the boat managers with charts that make sense of the information.

The data are also sent to Oracle’s Austin data center for more in- depth analysis. Using powerful data analysis tools, USA managers were able to find relationships they had never thought about before.
