Evaluate. [Individual Submission] To understand various viewpoints it is helpful to first assess individual responses by question through your interviews and identify themes. This will be done through a thematic analysis, which will be discussed in detail in class. We all possess biases, consciously or not, therefore it is important to identify and consider such biases when analyzing diverse points of view. Submit a document with your assigned interviews showing your thematic analysis using color-coding to group common themes.
Submit an excel spreadsheet of your thematic analysis, identifying codes for each response and the overarching themes (2-3 for each question). Then provide 1 paragraph summarizing the themes, including relevant trends by age group if necessary. Your paragraph can be inserted into your excel do in a new tab. Constructive feedback will be provided. (5 pts.)
1. Analyze the data from the questions assigned to you (You will find your group's data linked below. Within each excel file, you will find that each group member has a tab in the bottom left corner that contains their assigned questions to analyze) using thematic analysis to identify common and contradictory points of view. Refer back to the example for a step-by-step guide on how to analyze your data.
2. Write a paragraph summarizing your findings. Use statements that give a sense of how many participants respond in a certain way 60%, over half, nearly all, about two-thirds, etc.
Assigned questions to analyze: In your opinion, does society view men and women differently when individuals seek mental treatment or rehab treatment?
