As most off-the-shelves products only meet around 70% of our company’s software and technology needs, we decided to follow the In-House software development route. We plan to develop and implement a web-based custom “Client CRM” software solution that meets 100% of our technology needs and streamlines how we do business by eliminating 3rd party software such as Microsoft Excel and Access. The “Client CRM” will be available with desktop, iPhone/tablet, and smartphone. Our current business process for our company involves: (1) new and existing clients, (2) manually collecting client information packets from our website or front desk, and (3) manually completing and printing client demographic sections. The number of resources required to allocate time for scanning, printing, and completing in-house paperwork has proven inefficient. The customized CRM solution will transform our paperwork into a digital format, allowing for an easy user interface experience (UX). The UX will streamline data requested to complete online forms and minimize the number of steps to complete client sign-up. In addition, the CRM checks and balances will ensure that we obtain all required client information.
User Acceptance Criteria - What are the minimum success criteria as defined by the key stakeholders? How will you monitor and measure the project quality? How will the project owners determine if the project is a success or not? These must be detailed and measureable.
Exclusions and Boundaries - What are the boundaries of the project? To ensure that your project scope is properly constrained, identify 8–10 things that will be excluded from the project plans. What items will be not be included in the project?

Objectives - What objective is this project designed to meet? List a high-level objective statement for the overall project and at least 3–5 goals required to meet this objective. These must be measurable. For example, if an objective of the project is the cut cost, then by how much will costs be cut?
Do not research your project cost; this is an estimate. This is an order of magnitude estimate. Generic Software Development Budget Example (Modify as needed based on the scope and requirements of your technology project.) Development costs? Development labor?
