The demand for housing and home ownership grew significantly, as people longed to establish themselves and their families within the new suburban ideal. ? In this essay you are asked to discuss the following themes; ? What were the conditions of the fordist city which gave rise to the suburbs? ? What drove suburbanisation in NZ? What were the different phases of this process? Generally speaking what did early forms (pre 1980s) of suburban housing look like in NZ? Discuss three problems with suburbanisation in the contemporary city today? I anticipate a minimum of 5 scholarly references for this essay.
