1. Provide a brief summary of the project and list / describe the professional roles that engineers will have in the project (for the client, the design consultant, the contractor, the government and the objectors to the project) (Approx. ~300 words) - 15 marks

2. Assess the Environmental issues related to the project:

Describe the main environmental factors (positive and negative), and explain what the objectors specifically take issue with and how the developer plans to mitigate these (Approx. ~500 words) – 25 marks

3. Ethical considerations related to the project:

Provide 2 examples of aspects in the project that engineers would need to consider so that are acting in a professional and ethical manner. Use direct reference to the Engineering NZ Code of Ethics for each example (Approx. ~400 words) – 20 marks

Part B: Negligence and Accidents:

1. Present and discuss two case studies.

One which demonstrates a clear case of negligence and the other an unforeseen accident.

Clearly explain the events in your own words and discuss what went wrong and how this event could have been avoided (Approx. ~600 words) – 30 marks
