In this assessment, you will analyse the promotional aspects of Triumph & Disaster’s marketing mix strategies. You are required to create a 2-3 minute video presentation in which you will discuss Triumph & Disaster’s promotional strategies in general and specifically how they are able to use social media to build brand associations.
Your presentation will be marked equally on ‘what you say’ as well as ‘how you say it’ (the manner of your presentation).
You have the freedom to design the presentation as to how you want, however, you MUST:
1. Have a Title Slide with your Name, ID and Presentation Title.
2. Use PowerPoint or videotext to help your audience follow the presentation.
3. Appear in the video for at least 50% of the presentation.
4. Wear suitable attire and have an appropriate background for your video.
Because both verbal and non-verbal communication skills will be assessed, please ensure you have sufficient lighting and that your face is clearly visible. Please also ensure that the recording sound is sufficiently high and background noise is minimised so that your voice is clearly audible. We strongly recommend that you include relevant images like tables, graphs, screenshots, and photos to support your presentation.
Your video should be submitted as either a hyperlink or a video file.
1. If you are submitting a hyperlink, please embed the link in a title page with your name and ID listed. Please check the privacy settings and make sure that your link is accessible for viewing.
2. If you are submitting a video file, please use MP4 video file format (please convert
Apple MOV to MP4). There are multiple options available to record your video including Zoom as well as:
a. https://screencast-o-matic.com/
b. https://www.screencastify.com/
c. https://vimeo.com/
These tools allow for saving the recording on the cloud and sharing it as a link. You can choose any other tool you like. Most of the software available has a free option allowing you to record videos of the appropriate length. Please, make sure you do not pay for the software.
You can also use your phone video app too. Just make sure that you finalise your video and edit it.
