Writing for the Social Sciences (Problem and Solution) The goal of this unit is for you to think about social sciences, which is the study of society and social relationships. Normally, it includes topics, such as psychology, sociology, government, and international relations. You should start by watching the Video on Social Sciences. Then, you will select a current topic from the Pew Research Center. During the course of the next four sub-modules, you will complete a major writing assignment based the topic you select from the Pew Research Center. This will be a problem and solution paper. The goal of this essay is the following: To select a problem from the Pew Resource Center. To explain the problem and a possible (feasible) solution to that problem. To write a well-developed paper (approximately 600-800 words) with an introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. To use APA format to format your paper. Use third person only (unless you have personal experience to add). Research & Documentation: Two (2) sources PLUS the Pew Research article (a total of 3 sources). Citations should be in APA format.
