Answered

Nursing Shortage and Its Impact on Healthcare Services

Task:

Nurses are found to be the single biggest group of healthcare professionals in the United States. Projected and current nursing shortage reflects the fact that only some people are coming in the profession. Among this, nursing shortage are seen which is not easy to project or estimate. There are several personal and professional reasons behind shortage of nursing staff in the Commonwealth Fund US Health System. However, the number of nurses is projected to increase due to the aging of baby boom generation. However, these changes might be costly as well as difficult to respond to the future shortage. The shortage of nursing staff puts higher impact on the services. It is obvious that when nurses will not be enough, timely services will not be provided to the patients. This will lead to dissatisfaction to the patient. It might also be possible that they will not avail the services again from same healthcare facility. In addition to this, this will increase the burden on those few nursing staff who are remaining in the organization. As a result of this, stress will be seen in those staff members and will lead to poor productivity as a result. CORRECT SPACING IN THE PARAGRAPH ABOVE.

Describe the national healthcare issue/stressor you selected and its impact on your organization. Use organizational data to quantify the impact (if necessary, seek assistance from leadership or appropriate stakeholders in your organization). Ensure all information is validated with current and credible citations/references.

Provide a brief summary of the two articles you reviewed from outside resources on the national healthcare issue/stressor. Explain how the healthcare issue/stressor is being addressed in other organizations. Ensure all information is validated with current and credible citations/references.

In the first reviewed article, it has stated the example of a mother who faced problems due to shortage of nursing staff. It is written that shortage of nursing staff is alarming. Nursing is seen as the fastest growing occupation in the country. Despite of this, supply and availability are not according to the demand. The major reason for this shortage is that registered nurses are recently older than 50 years of age at the same time, nearly 70,000 nurses will retire the labor force by 2024. Downturn in the economy is another reason nurses are holding off retirement (Marc et al, 2019).

Summarize the strategies used to address the organizational impact of national healthcare issues/stressors presented in the scholarly resources you selected. Explain how they may impact your organization both positively and negatively. Be specific and provide examples.

Your conclusion/summary is your chance to have the last word on the subject. The summary allows you to have the final say on the issues you have raised in your paper, to synthesize your thoughts, to demonstrate the importance of your ideas, and to propel your reader to a new view of the subject. It is also your opportunity to make a good final impression and to end on a positive note.  Your summary can go beyond the confines of the assignment. This section pushes beyond the boundaries of the prompt and allows you to consider broader issues, make new connections, and elaborate on the significance of your findings. You should make your readers glad they read your paper, and gives your reader something to take away that will help them see things differently or appreciate your topic in personally relevant ways. It can suggest broader implications that will not only interest your reader, but also enrich your reader’s life in some way. It is your gift to the reader.

Conclusively, the U.S. is projected to experience a shortage of Registered Nurses (RNs) that is expected to intensify as Baby Boomers age and the need for health care grows. Another problem is since nursing schools all over the country are struggling to enlarge the capacity to meet with the increasing demand for care given the national move toward healthcare reform. THERE ARE NO BOLDED NARRATIVE IN THESE PAPERS.  The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) and the government in general should be working with schools, policy makers, nursing organizations, and the media to bring attention to this healthcare concern.  A collaborative effort should be geared at all the various means possible to increase the nursing populate as well as nursing retention, more resources should be leveraged in shaping nursing legislation, identify strategies to address shortage of nursing as an imminent national
