Business research methodology is primarily the process of collecting data and information with the aim of making vital business decisions. In my opinion, the learning experience is vital to not only individuals that aspire to venture into entrepreneurship, but also people in the corporate world. This is because the foundation of every institution is business where profits are expected at the close of the day, thus, sound decisions have to be made to achieve such. Through the learning process learners were exposed valuable information such as the existing types of research methods which include interviews, publication research, surveys and other techniques that utilize both historical and present information (Bryman, & Bell, 2015). The experience was valuable to me for various reasons. Foremost, I was able to comprehend the effort that goes into the publication of journals as well as other scholarly materials that are primary sources of information to scholars and other people of interest. With this understanding, I know appreciate the information obtained from scholarly sources and I have a renewed regard for the authors of this materials. The experience has further led me to value originality while abhorring the act of plagiarism, which seeks to disregard the efforts of the original author as another individual prides in plagiarized work. Hence, I know strongly affirm that plagiarism is a criminal act in research and scholarly works and requisite measures should be installed to curb such.
How the Learning Process Will Be Useful to Me
There are several associated benefits of the learning process in regards to its usefulness in my course, program, future career, and life in general. In my course, I will be able to successfully complete tasks and assignments assigned by the course professor. This is because I have a better comprehension of the various materials that I can use as credible sources in order to complete assignments. In addition, I will be able to explore the limits of information by various scholars, thus, enabling me to draft comprehensive and conclusive papers on various research essays during the course (Saunders, Lewis, & Thornhill, 2009). These efforts will translate to the overall success in my program and will see me gain a distinction as I am confident that I will produce quality papers earning me better scores. In my career, the knowledge on business research methods will enable me to evaluate best practices using hypothesis testing and scientific method. Whereas hypothesis testing will allow me to distinguish feasible and impractical practices, scientific method will enable me to study theory and conduct observations (Hair Jr, Wolfinbarger, Money, Samouel, & Page, 2015). Therefore, I will be able to make reliable business decisions that will not only allow me to advance in my career, but also lead to the growth of the business. In my life in general the information obtained will assist me in navigating challenging life situations that might require me to critically appraise information that I come across. This will in turn lead to the creation of good relationships with other individuals in my life such as family and friends.
How the Learning Process Will Be Useful to Me
Describe Objectively What Happened in the Learning Process
The learning process on business research methodology was systematic. Foremost, learners were presented with the outline, which highlighted the sections that were to be covered in the topic as well as learning objectives. Afterwards, the educator possessed a question asking students to define the term business research. In my opinion, this was done in an attempt to gauge prior knowledge of the students on the topic and to make the class interactive, thus, facilitating the process of learning. Several learners made an attempt at the question, but only a few were able to correctly define the term. This was a clear indicator of the eagerness of the students to learn about the topic. The class progressed smoothly with the educator defining the term business research, listing business research methods, classifying the various research methods into qualitative and quantitative, and highlighting the importance of business research methods in making business decisions (Collis, & Hussey, 2013). The session was concluded with a question and answer segment where both learners and the educators possessed questions and responses were made in answer to the questions. The learning process was interactive and educative as many learners later concluded as they walked out in groups chatting about the concluded learning process.

Ideally, business research is the process of gathering information that is crucial to the success of any institution (Cameron, & Price, 2009). With this understanding, I was able to approach the research learning process objectively. Previously, I was of the opinion that business research is cryptic in that it was more of a myth and less of the real world as I thought it dealt with impractical issues. However, I am now able to make sense of previous learning as I come to the realization that business research is the answer to many real world impasses (Zikmund, Babin, Carr, & Griffin, 2013). For one to make this connection, nevertheless, he or she has to be acquainted with research and research methodologies. In fact, exposure to the different research methods enables decision makers to utilize systematic approaches in solving issues. Therefore, this leads to the generation of practical and applicable solutions.
Explain Your Learning Process
The learning process further enlightened me on the topic of business research and business research methods. First, I was able to understand that business research is synonymous with market research because it entails the study of existing knowledge, gaps, and emerging issues or trends. As such, conducting business research is pertinent to the success of any organization. Assignment 1 and 2 were centered on the conceptual framework of accounting and financial reporting, which is equally an important aspect in business success. I completed the two assignments because I sought to understand the role of finances and accounting a business entity. Research in the area enlightened me on the aspect of income and expenses as well as the financial role of a business entity towards stakeholders and investors. I was able to establish that information derived from the financial report of an organization was crucial in influencing the decision of investors. This is because the information is centered on estimates (Chen, Hope, Li, & Wang, 2011).

How Will This Learning be Applicable
As I aspire to become a corporate leader and venture into business, the learning experience will prove beneficial in several ways. Foremost, I will be able to evaluate existing knowledge and claims that might have lead scholars and other businesses to arrive at certain business decisions. This will certainly gain me a competitive advantage as I will be able to determine the performance of rival competition (Gill, & Johnson, 2010). As mentioned earlier, business research is tantamount to market research, therefore, I will be able to investigate the marketing techniques of successful rivals and apply best practices that will lead to the success of my business. With this knowledge, I will also be able to establish the needs of consumers and the value they receive from certain products. This information will facilitate the development of products and services that are innovative and prices that match the quality offered by the products or services (Roth, Singhal, J., Singhal, K., & Tang, 2016). This is because consumers tend to be wary of the quality of low priced products and at the same time they shun high priced goods. With knowledge on business research, however, one can establish suitable prices that reflect the quality offered by a good or service. In my course, the learning process will facilitate successful completion of tasks. This is because I am now have new insight on research methods allowing me to analyze issues in a new and broad dimension. Therefore, I am now able to conduct conclusive and comprehensive research on issues from past and present sources (Sekaran, & Bougie, 2016). This will also improve the overall quality of my work and understanding of the course. As I venture into the corporate world, I will be better placed to tackle dilemmas that would previously have been daunting to handle.
