How COVID-19 Pandemic Shaped The Essay Of University Students.

The COVID-19 pandemic emerged to be a significant factor which has led to shaping the experience of university students. The COVID-19 pandemic led to a sudden surge for social distancing. It was observed that due to the excessive spread of virus, government in different country passed the rule of a complete lockdown (Kee 2021). Self-isolation, social distancing and wearing mask became new common for people. In the situation, students were forced to adapt a new learning method which is online learning. All of a sudden students were forced to learn with online learning due to the COVID-19 and norms. Social distancing was one of the main reasons for starting online classes (Simamora 2020). Due to COVID-19, on campus experience for the students got completely minimized. The situation of COVID-19 created an impact over the mental health of the students and the learning capability as well. However, with the passing time, it has been observed that student has adopted the elements of online learning platform. In this essay, the focus is to identify and discuss the impact which are created by COVID-19 over the students of the university. It is important to understand that several changes brought an impact over the learning process of the students. Sudden breakdown from social life created a stress and anxiety among the youth. It was observed that COVID-19 created a situation of disruptions in the learning process (Fowler-Watt et al. 2020). Moreover, after the COVID-19 outbreak, students are unable to come back to their original life.  

In order to gather information over the topic of the COVID-19 pandemic, different tools were utilised. The five sources which is being selected for obtaining information associated with the topic of book, peer reviewed sources, articles and illustration. With the help of these sources, it became easy to understand the impact of COVID-19 on the students of University (Zawacki?Richter 2021). The way coronavirus impacted education system has been discussed in the selected sources.

The selected article aims at discussing about challenges of online learning which were faced by the students of universities during COVID-19 pandemic. Practical courses were hard to understand due to the online implementation approach. COVID-19 has a huge impact over the education system which lead to affecting the knowledge areas as well. Students became reluctant and cheating rates while online exams also increased. Similarly, the COVID-19 situation created a secondary distress elements which were related to the virus. These included physical distancing distress, social distancing distress, academic and school related distress, financial stress and unemployment distress. Henceforth, it can be stated that the need to have a proper understanding over the different factors of the COVID-19 distress factor is important.

The above graph clearly stated that 1.38 billion students were highly influenced by the sudden closures of education institutes. This caused huge impact among the different level of education. The purpose of the reasons are also being considered while selecting the sources. COVID-19 pandemic caused a tremendous impact across the globe. States across the world have cancelled classes, exams and postponed their courses for unknown time. Students have faced huge loss of two years due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19. Students suffered mentally as well as financially. The impacts of over students’ lives were being analysed from the perspective of mental health as well as financial aspects. Students were forced to quit their social life because of the lockdown scenario. This lead to increasing the stress among the students. Beside these COVID-19 also impacted students who left their countries for pursuing education in other countries. Sudden lock down caused havoc distress among the students. The flow of education also got hampered as there was poor acknowledgement from the end of the students. It was observed that during online classes Students are paying attention got reduced. These influenced the learning process and also created an impact.

The perspective of the selected five sources aims at discussing about the impact created by COVID-19. The selected sources clearly represents that Coronavirus has created a huge impact over the performance of a student. It has been a huge element which created a change in the working structure and the learning process of students in the universities. The learning process got shaped due to the sudden shift from off-line education system to online education. It was observed that students who started attending classes online and got completely detached from the practical field. It can be stated that each selected sources has provided different insights regarding the influence of COVID-19 on university students.

Essay

The main similarities which lies between the sources selected are the concept of COVID-19. From the analysis, it can be clearly stated that the impact of the COVID-19 has influenced the student performance.  Each sources selected discusses about the way students struggled to complete their courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. The impact of COVID-19 has been clearly represented in the selected articles. However, each sources selected has a different message to share. The selected articles provided understanding on the global education aspect, impact of COVID-19 on the mental health and wellness of students, the perspective of a from a future of the students, distresses among the university students and the way online learning course the challenge for student has been discussed in different articles. Each article has highlighted the impacts and challenges in a different manner for providing detailed understanding.

After successfully evaluating the different sources selected on the topic of a COVID-19 pandemic shaping the experience of university students, it can be stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has it created a huge influence over the performance of students. It has been observed that the learning ability of students has also changed. These are created a huge influence over the performance as well. Students started taking online classes instead of face-to-face classes for the purposes of stopping the further spread of COVID-19. It has been observed that social communication was a cut down of the approach of distance learning. The practical experience is obtained from field has been reduced significantly. Therefore it can be stated that COVID-19 has influenced the learning processes of a student is a rapidly.

I have focused on discussing about the importance of COVID-19 influence over the students in education. While conducting the research I have gained huge knowledge associated with the academic learning. My academic skills got enhanced with the utilisation of new aspects. By the end of the assessment, I was capable of understanding the importance of having academic skills such as time management, prioritisation, research and analysis. I have gained use knowledge in the field of research and analyses with the help of these portfolio. These portfolio will help in understanding the importance of managing work within the allocated a time frame as well. I can state that the knowledge gained has helped in exploring information. Apart from this, I have also focused on engaging with wide range of academic sources for the purpose of providing information. These helps in understanding the key aspects associated with the research topic. Therefore, it can be stated that the obtained learning and the information has helped in gaining detailed knowledge regarding the area. This also helps in understanding the way concerns associated with the research topic needs to be addressed. The skills obtained offers better understanding, effective reading and notetaking, planning and organising ideas and critical thinking for performing assessment.
