The COVID-19 pandemic emerged to be a significant factor which has led to shaping the experience of university students. The COVID-19 pandemic led to a sudden surge for social distancing. It was observed that due to the excessive spread of virus, government in different country passed the rule of a complete lockdown (Kee 2021). Self-isolation, social distancing and wearing mask became new common for people. In the situation, students were forced to adapt a new learning method which is online learning. All of a sudden students were forced to learn with online learning due to the COVID-19 and norms. Social distancing was one of the main reasons for starting online classes (Simamora 2020). Due to COVID-19, on campus experience for the students got completely minimized. The situation of COVID-19 created an impact over the mental health of the students and the learning capability as well. However, with the passing time, it has been observed that student has adopted the elements of online learning platform. In this essay, the focus is to identify and discuss the impact which are created by COVID-19 over the students of the university. It is important to understand that several changes brought an impact over the learning process of the students. Sudden breakdown from social life created a stress and anxiety among the youth. It was observed that COVID-19 created a situation of disruptions in the learning process (Fowler-Watt et al. 2020). Moreover, after the COVID-19 outbreak, students are unable to come back to their original life.  

In order to gather information over the topic of the COVID-19 pandemic, different tools were utilised. The five sources which is being selected for obtaining information associated with the topic of book, peer reviewed sources, articles and illustration. With the help of these sources, it became easy to understand the impact of COVID-19 on the students of University (Zawacki?Richter 2021). The way coronavirus impacted education system has been discussed in the selected sources.

Students suffered mentally as well as financially. The impacts of over students’ lives were being analysed from the perspective of mental health as well as financial aspects. Students were forced to quit their social life because of the lockdown scenario. This lead to increasing the stress among the students. Beside these COVID-19 also impacted students who left their countries for pursuing education in other countries. Sudden lock down caused havoc distress among the students. The flow of education also got hampered as there was poor acknowledgement from the end of the students. It was observed that during online classes Students are paying attention got reduced. These influenced the learning process and also created an impact.

The perspective of the selected five sources aims at discussing about the impact created by COVID-19. The selected sources clearly represents that Coronavirus has created a huge impact over the performance of a student. It has been a huge element which created a change in the working structure and the learning process of students in the universities. The learning process got shaped due to the sudden shift from off-line education system to online education. It was observed that students who started attending classes online and got completely detached from the practical field. It can be stated that each selected sources has provided different insights regarding the influence of COVID-19 on university students.

From the analysis, it can be clearly stated that the impact of the COVID-19 has influenced the student performance.  Each sources selected discusses about the way students struggled to complete their courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. After successfully evaluating the different sources selected on the topic of a COVID-19 pandemic shaping the experience of university students, it can be stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has it created a huge influence over the performance of students. The skills obtained offers better understanding, effective reading and notetaking, planning and organising ideas and critical thinking for performing assessment.
