Figure 1: Stakeholder Management Strategy

From the stakeholder management strategy, the amounts of influence the stakeholders have along with extent to which the stakeholders are important to the project are also analyzed. The Vice President of Operations and IS project manager managed the project plan closely with higher level of power as well as interest. The Vice President of Marketing and CIO has lower power and interest into the project plan and they are monitoring the plan. The risk manager has high interest and low power into the project plan. They are keeping informed about any activities into the project. The project sponsor has lower interest and higher power into as funding for the project is the key role of them. They are kept satisfied with the funds for the plan.
The key requirement of Intelligent Information Inc. is to keep the stakeholders engaged into the project plan. There are five stakeholder management strategies which are used to manage the engagement of stakeholders into the project plan:
- Development of list of people who are required to hire for the implementation of big data analytics and the business organization should have capability to impact both positively and negatively the issues (Montero et al. 2015).
- There should be segmentation of stakeholders based on understanding the degree of capability to impact the desired project outcomes such as high, medium and low (Carroll and Buchholtz, 2014).
- The project owner is assigned to manage the stakeholders based on level of their potential impacts. The low impact stakeholders are also assigned to some of the project activities.
- A project timeline is determined for regular communication purposes for the key stakeholders to ensure that they are up to date on the requirements to support the organizational goals (Cukier et al. 2014).
- The key messages are delivered to the project stakeholders based on their interest (Garcia?Castro and Francoeur, 2016). A communication plan is mainly required to interact with the stakeholders to understand them their responsibilities into the project plan.
