The first impression of mine was great as I found experienced employee over there who work with a good potential. I got a new learning curve to adjust to the new position and responsibilities. It was a quite a different experience for me to learn new things in an efficient manner without getting involved in any kind of politic terms. There was an effective system of training for the newcomers so that they could understand their roles and responsibilities within the organization. I got professional training from there which was entailed all information regarding my job roles. This was helpful to me to understand my job roles in the organization.
The role of the ethical behaviour in the workplace keeps significant importance as it is considered as the legal as well as moral code that guides employee behaviour. My workplace had professional and ethical behaviour in the workplace. Ethical behaviour is the way that guides whether someone would perform little infractions if one feels that no one is watching (Mauno, Ruokolainen, Kinnunen and De Bloom, 2016). At my workplace, ethical communication is another factor that employees require to be apparently trained on. An unsatisfied employee does not work in the proper manner and spread the rumors that put negative impact over the business (Xu, Loi and Ngo,2016). The attitude of manager regarding professional and ethical behaviour was quite good which facilitated me to work in a more efficient manner. The professional and ethical behaviour helped me to think that I am working at safer place. There were some policies regarding the way of working in which one could not go beyond his work ethics.
My organization was determined towards the accomplishment of work as it was the responsibility of our team to do work in more efficient manner on common goals. The goal setting is being done within the organization for the purpose of bringing the focus of everyone on the same pitch (Bal and Rousseau, 2015). With the help of the goals one can measure the growth of the organization in a more efficient manner. Being a cashier, it was my responsibility to handle or maintain all procedures related to the account and give all details regarding the expenditure so that the company could make decision as per the growth. I had been analyzed that goals gave me the motivation to do work more in the organization in order to attain the aims of the company.
My role in the workplace was as a cashier in whom I received payment by cash, vouchers, cash or credit cards. I handled all calculation in an efficient manner in order to maintain the accounts. My role was responsible role in the organization because the income and expenditure of the whole organization were on me, and little misunderstanding can lead me as well as the organization into adverse situation. It was my responsibility to handle them in a more efficient manner as it was a trust-worthy job so there were huge responsibilities on me. It is the job role that required specific skills and qualities to handle the job role that is time management, customer service, interpersonal communication, telephone etiquette, product knowledge, dependability and basic math. Along with that I was liable to handle or resolve the complaints of the customer about the products and services.
Goal Setting
Career development is the stage that covers the lifelong process of handling the tasks in a more efficient manner, leisure and transactions for the purpose of moving towards a person decided and developing preferred future (Greco and Kraimer, 2018). I was quite serious for career development in which I went through some stages of career development in order to improve my skills. These stages are assessment stages, investigation stage, preparation stage, commitment stage, retention stage and transition stage. It would have helped me to sought out the own build spots. According to me, it is the process by which one can understand their strengths and weaknesses in building a good career in the chosen area. It has been analyzed that the strong functional skills take to me to develop and it is the responsibility of everyone to take consideration of such aspect before coming into the role.
Workplace relationships are considered as the unique relationship that keeps significant impact over the performance of the employees. Workplace relationship affects the ability of the workers and drives to succeed (Valentine, Fleischman and Godkin, 2015). In my workplace, I have found that the employees of my workplace were determined to attain the objectives of the company in the more efficient manner they were helpful to give direction in case I stuck somewhere in performing the task. Everyone was supportive in the organization and worked n same pitch to attain the goals so that the company could grow rapidly and remain in the competitive environment for the long period. I performed in well manner and endeavored to make good relations hip with my manager as well as my colleague so that the chance of disputes and misunderstanding could be eliminated. It has been analyzed that there are various reason that be the major cause of workplace conflicts such as the difference in working style and leadership style, clashing personalities, differences in background and many more. It is vital for the organization to take care of such aspects in case of handling the team in an efficient manner.
Leadership has many forms that impact entire process of working. My organization was very supportive of me as well as other employees because the chosen leadership style is quite different from others. It has been analyzed that autocratic, democratic, transformational and transactional are some kinds of leadership style that has different aims and objectives to perform within the business (Bridgstock, 2018). The role of the leadership is an integral function of management which facilitates to make the most of competence and to attain the goals of the organization. Leadership has various skills and capabilities that need to be considered by the leaders. A communication skill is another part of it through which one can convey the message in a more appropriate manner. My manager had effective skills such as communication skill, problem-solving skills and time management skills which helped out organization to maintain all ethics and procedures in more efficient manner.
Conclusion
It can be concluded from the above discussion that there is number of activities within the organization which need to be handled by the manager by applying appropriate strategies. I have discussed my profile and my timing of work. There are journal entries in eight sections in which I have shared my experience by taking consideration of my job profile. I have analyzed throughout my experience that career planning should have been made by person to reach maximum heights. The professional and ethical behaviour in the workplace helped to ensure employees that they are working at safe place. along with that i have shared my experience regarding my role in the workplace in which in described each process of working of mine and the job responsibility within the organization, I have found that the importance of the goals within the organization keep huge significance as it facilitates in developing strategies in more efficient manner.
