This simulation assists the members of each management team to improve the capability to plan and evaluated and according to that applies to market research and information system knowledge for the strategic business planning process. It offers the capabilities to evaluate the situation of the business analytically think about the situation and make recommendations as per the demand of the requirement. There are three decisions are made while using the HOTS (Hotel Simulation) software. These are elaborated below:

It is one of the good decisions which have been taken with the help of HOTS in hotel management by which the facilities of quick check in/ out, room mini bar, 10 executive rooms, 10 suits room, additional parking, expansion of restaurant, business service, and business shop. With the help of HOTS Software, the hotel management comes to know about those areas that require extra facilities to the resorts where lack of leisure facilities.

It has been stimulated by the HOTS to competitive market conditions for hotel operations from which the management of Resort realizes that the sales can be impacted due to increase rate. HOTS are a very advantageous process as it offers a virtual marketplace where a number of hotels compete against each other. At beginning of the stimulation of HOTS, all competing hotels are exactly the same. Resorts started rate from 75-85 per night and rates are affordable by family. The HOTS enables them to analyze the situation of the competitors and keep the price to stay in the competitive market.

It helps participants to manage a hotel in a competitive virtual environment without any financial risks. It helps to show the actions of the managers or participants in the process after their decisions making process (Braithwaite, 2017). The most advantages of this training program are to provide invaluable opportunities for managers and other employees to improve the managerial skills within the organization for increasing the productivity in the business (Benckendorff, Lohmann, Pratt, Whitelaw, Strickland & Reynolds, 2015). It is the good decisions of the resort of HOTS viewer in which they are able to compensate with customers in a reasonable way. Resorts started to take feedback from its customers so that they get better feedback from them in order to improve their services.

Recommendations for developing a training program

Overall, HOTS provide the great advantages to the hotel management in taking a good decision which helps them in improving services in an adequate manner.

However, HOTS is an effective approach but it is vital for the hotels that use HOTS to evaluate the decisions of the team as it is not vital every time that the use of HOTS is correct. The three decisions have been taken by the team in the hotel by using HOTS software. These three decisions are proved wrong due to number of issues.

The major weakness of HOTS in the hotel industry is that it is not generating optimal solutions. It is required for the management of the hotel to take time over the evaluation of the decisions (Rotimi, Bahadori-Jahromi, Mylona, Godfrey & Cook, 2017). The team has decided to do advertisement of the resort and these decisions have been taken while using HOTS. It is one of the wrong decisions because customer often hears it. It has been found that the public awareness is important for any kind of advertisement and in the case of this resort public awareness is only 30%. It has been initiated for the purpose of increasing the sales but the advertisement is not only the solution to increase the sales of the resort. There should be proper structure of services to attract the customers as customers never come back for a second time to experience the same services.

There is another wrong decision that has been taken by the team while using HOTS that is decisions regarding staff. It is a virtual training program in which participants are divided into the team and decisions are made as per their better understanding (Fotiadis & Sigala, 2015). The customer never sees the same face twice as it increases the level of discomfort that they are getting different services from different staff. The staff turnover rate is increased in the resort due to heavy competition as it is vital for the industry to take appropriate action regarding staff of the resort. The staff of the resort is unhappy to work here as they are not getting for what they are committed. Staff satisfaction is 60% which is being the major reason for staff turnover. The main focus will be given to the satisfaction of the staff if it is started all over again.

Finance is the factor that can affect the entire process of the hotel industry that is why it is required for the management of the resort to keep consideration of finance factor while using HOTS. It is one of the wrong decisions that have been taken by the team (HOTS, n.d.). It is essential for the management to do not invest a lot of amount in the initial stage of the operation as it is a risky stage. Overdraft heavily is another reason which can create the issues in the finance. It has been found that resort has not effective cash flow to operate the system. In case of starting all over again finance factor should be considered at prior basis.

as a future resort manager, I will develop the training program for my employees using the HOTS (Hotel Simulation) to taking consideration of the effective approach that encourages them to join it with more enthusiasm. A training program should be effective for the hospitality industry as many customers are dependent upon the accommodations as they plan for the tour. It is required for the management to evaluate the good decisions and bad decisions in an effective manner so that the implementation of the HOTS Software can be done in a sophisticated way (Sheng, Miao, Zhang, Lin, & Ma, 2018). There are some points mentioned below which would be undertaken by me after being a future resort manager to implement the training program by using HOTS.

It is essential before implementing the training program to define the meaning of HOTS Software so that the participants can understand the meaning of this in-depth manner. It would be helpful in making good decisions as they already know that on which they are working and what is the use of in developing the growth of the organization (Tapilouw, Firman, Redjeki & Chandra, 2017). The purpose of training should be clearly defined to them as for what and for which purpose they are conducting.

The use of HOTS software in the hospitality industry is effective as it helps in making good decisions regarding increasing the sales and revenues. I will tell them that this software is not helpful in growing sales of the organization but also increase the personal growth (Nicolau, Castonguay, Levine, Hong, Summer Institute 2015 Participants, & Pluye, 2017).

The decisions can be made easily by dividing the two teams but is required for their decisions to evaluation an effective manner so that the impact of them come in the positive term (Andre, 2017). Evaluation of the decisions should be done in an effective manner and anticipated outcomes should be made step by step so that the organization can understand in which state they are lacking to attain the objective of the organization (Baldwin, Williamson, Eaves, Levin, Burton & Massey,2017).

It can be concluded that the use of HOTS Software in the hospitality industry is effective as it helps in making quick decisions. This report has entailed the three good decisions and their bad decisions and the discussion have been made on them in depth manner. There are various benefits of hotel stimulation software as it facilitates in the effective operation to the hotel industry which helps in increasing the sales and revenues of the organization. It has been found that the evaluation of the decisions is essential for increasing the sales of the hotel. The training program should be conducted in an efficient manner with defining the reason behind conducting the HOTS training. As a future resort manager, the involvement of some factors in the training program has been elaborated in this report which would be helpful in making a more effective program of HOTS training in the hotel industry.
