Gain Experience in Your Field of Interest and Work Side by Side with Experts

It has always been my dream and vision to work as an intern in one of the companies in Indonesia. Gaining knowledge from through working side by side with experts has always been a daily talk in my life. I am currently a student at the university chasing a career of becoming the best engineer in one of the companies in Indonesia.  Having found an opportunity to take my internship in Yogya Presisi Tehnikatama Industry (YPTI), a manufacturing company that deals in production of precision parts, checking fixtures and molding plastic injection with the aid of the latest CNC technology. I feel that this will be my opportunity to sharpen my skill as I work with the company.

While working with the company, I believe that this will be my chance to gain experience in my carrier field of interest. I also believe that through this internship in the company, I will be able to get a snapshot of what it is like to be working in a particular field of specialization. I also intend to add impact on the company for instance to motivate the current stock of competence with the aim of increasing productivity and achieving the objectives of the firm.

PT YPTI is a precision industry, which was established in the year 1999 with only four stock of competence. At its early stages of development, the firm used to operate in a small garage at home using list powerful machines like maho 500 and maho 700. During this period, the company used to make ordered parts for furniture and cigarette factories. With time, the company managed to open a bigger factory in 2001 with 20 human capital in Kasalan. During this time, the firm started developing their business in the line of plastics and injection mold. In addition to this, the firm also went forth to develop itself in checking fixtures and single parts by 2002.

The growth of the firm was a bit steady and thus more machines were added and a new plant for plastic injection was established. In 2007, the company managed to invest it capital in a new double column CNC machine that signified increased production. After operating for eight years, YPTI Company was awarded with an ISO 90012008 certificate in addition to Upakarti Award. Due to the incorporation of modern technology and increased skilled work force, the organization was recognized as the first Asian precision industry to develop a full CF body.  With increased research and work, the firm was started processing and quality control facilities such as three-dimension scanner facility.

Collaborate with Automotive, Energy and Cigarette Firms for Diverse Set of Values, Assets, Priorities, and Expertise to Collaborate for Efficient and Effective products and Services to Their Clients

 The steady growth of the firm during 2014 took the firm into another level of productivity where it started processing Human Resource & Machine Tools that were being used to educate and provide certificate that enabled the firm to partner with the extended workshop in Indonesia aerospace and state electricity firm. In 20015, the company went further and initiated a training center where the stock of competence where aloud to specialize in areas such as checking fixtures and molding. It even managed to participate in Hannover Messe Exhibition where it even launched a new training center.

Indeed, the company has had a series of partners since its incorporation. When it comes to collaborating with automotive, the company has really involved itself with many automotive companies for instance; it has collaborated with Toyota Boshoku, Astra Otoparts, Dwa, and Sugity Creatives among many others. This collaboration with automotive companies has helped and enabled the company to venture into other technical equipment that will foster innovation in the coming generation. Furthermore, the company has not restricted itself into one lane but rather, its collaborating has been seen in various fields such as energy where we find companies such as PLN and SINERCO. In cigarette industry, YPTI industry has collaborated with a number of companies such as DJARUM and PT HM SAMPOURNA Tbk.

In addition to these, the Yogya Presisi Tehnikatama Industry (YPTI) has formed many associations all over the nation. One of this association is INACOM an aircraft company that is a national association of aircraft developers. T has also formed association with ASIMPI with the intentions of building industrial machine tools in Indonesia. Colicev et al (2016) It is important not to forget (YDBA) Yayasan Darma BAkti Astra which a foundation of astra which was initiated in the year 1980 by Soeryadjaya. Both YDBA and YPTI have committed themselves to be active participants in building the nation. Their main objective is to help increase the knowledge level in the area of engineering, marketing, management and IT among others (Colicev et al. 2016, p.17)

To some extent, the company has benefited greatly from collaborating with other firms in that each sector has managed to come up with diverse set of values, assets, priorities and expertise to collaborate. It has enabled the firm to access wider knowledge that aids the firm to reduce potential adversities through the understanding of the operational environment. The company has also advanced to creating more efficient and effective products and services to their clients.  

YPTI: A Precision Manufacturing Company in Indonesia with Latest CNC Technology

The company has a big range of resources that gives it a wider capability to perform its tasks. The firm has been involved in a number of projects that enables it to develop variety of products. The company has wide range of experience in for over 15 years in development of spare parts in addition to this, the firm has dealt in number of products such as molding using CNC which is the latest technology since 2001, checking fixtures in that they can manufacture automotive spares without any problem (Kang &Wu, 2013, p.13). This has been seen through its collaboration with a series of automotive firms. Developing solid work mastercam has also been part of the company’s initiative in addition to production of plastic injection through molding without forgetting mastercam training.

The company is known as PT. Yogya Presisi Tehnikatama Industry. It was initiated in 1999. Currently the company has 237 workers with its work scope involving mold making, precision parts, plastic injections, Jig and checking fixtures.

In line with PMPA Member Hannes Precision Finds Success in Flexibility and Top Customer Service’ (2017), the company deals with a variety of products for instance, molding plastic injections, production of three dimension scanners, checking fixtures and mastercam training. CNC stands for computer numerical control which involves the conversion of design produce by a computer into numbers which can then be used as graphical coordination that control the cutting of the machine in the molding. Through this means, the company can use a computer to control the machines used in molding.

Mobile Phone Manufacturing In India (2017), as a firm, many companies try to outdo precision industry both globally and locally. Despite all this competitions, the company tries to maintain its status quo in the business arena by making sure that their clients receive the best products at all cost.  Some of the competitors in the global market include Siemens and Foxconn industry that deal with molding plastics.

When it comes to the staff and leadership within this organization, the company has hired qualified stocks of competence who are highly skilled in their areas of work. The company further offers a series of training to its human capital with the aim of ensuring increased productivity and quality of goods (Kang & Wu 2013, p.13).

By working for this organization, I am positive that my level of experience will increase and will get an opportunity to interact with great minds who will help modify my way of perceiving things. The ultimate aim of working as an intern in this company is to ensure that I equip myself with relevant practical skills in the field of engineering (Colicev et al. 2016)

Conclusion

YPTI is a precision company that was established in 1999 and since its initiation; the company has developed a number of capabilities and field in which it has ventured. From my analysis, it is quite clear that the company tries to produce quality product with computer numerical control that enables the firm to produce high quality products. The firm has further collaborated with various companies such as automotive companies, cigarette companies in addition to energy companies where it produces plastic injections for the firms.  In addition to this, YPTI has also developed a training program with the aim of increasing the knowledge level of the stocks of competence.

I strongly believe that my internship in the company will be of great importance since I will be exposed to real life experience in my area of specialization where I will get the chance to interact with experts I the field. It is also my expectation that through this internship,
