1. Discuss factors that influence the set up of an oscillator type such as a Wien bridge i.e. criterion for oscillation, control of amplitude and so on. Additionally you are required to simulate a Wien bridge of frequency kHz first two digits of your SID.
2. i) Discuss and analyse the single operational amplifier in a differential amplifier mode shown in figure 1 to determine its input to output voltage characteristic.
ii) How does the characteristic simplify if it assumed that R2 = R4 and R1 = R3.
iii) Why is this configuration not really suitable for application as an instrumentation amplifier?
1. Produce a VHDL design unit (entity & architecture pair) to model the state machine as shown in the state diagram below (Figure 2). If your SID is an even number then X can be replaced by 1, otherwise it should be replaced with 0:
Insert your VHDL model design and simulate it.
2. There are different hardware target solutions which can be used to implement a digital system. Write a short literature review discussing each of them mentioning their advantages and disadvantages.
