This template should be used to record your reflections on the weekly sessions. Please use the spaces provided to reflect on what was discussed in class, what you gained from the session; did you find the content useful, how can you relate it to your studies at university as a business student. You will also need to discuss how you intend to further develop the skills discussed in class. This is a continuous process and should be completed during the module and not at the end.

In week 8 you will be expected to submit what you have completed so far, via Blackboard, in order to receive feedback. You will then complete weeks 9 and 10 and summatively submit the journal in week 14.

The Weekly Reflective Journal will be used in conjunction with your Personal Learning and Development Plan and Interview to work out the final grade for this module. Submission of all parts of the assessment are required in order to receive a grade.

Academic achievement is the degree to which educator's, an institution’s, a learner’s has attained their long-or short-term educational aims. Academic achievement is described as meeting educational requirements like earning a secondary school diploma. If youngsters wish to pursue careers that need complex technology, they must succeed in school. Kids' behaviour and social connections with friends as well as family improve when they do well in school. Successful students gain vital life skills such as reading, writing, and critical thinking. Attending lectures, rewriting ahead of time, prioritizing learning needs, small group learning, deep learning, skill lab learning. Learning from failures, mind mapping, time management, learning with patients, and family support are all factors that contribute to academic success. I will pay more attention to this topic to help me develop stated skills

This week we discussed in details things that deal with personal development. According to the discussion, a personal development plan refers to a tool for assessing your strengths as well as shortcomings and charting a course for maximizing your present abilities and capabilities. Personal development planning is the process of creating a strategy for personal growth, whether it remains in the form of a job path, or an educational path, or simply for a person's own personal development. Personal development plans can be used to set individual goals & objectives. In order to achieve my objectives, I will enhance and strengthen the above mentioned areas.

Here, we learned how a SWOT analysis can assist an individual in attaining their professional goals. SWOT analysis enables an individual to gain a deeper understanding of his/her own strengths and weaknesses, as well as the challenges they will face and the opportunities they can seize now as well as in the future Personal SWOT assessments can help an individual gain a better understanding of his/her professional strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, as well as threats. Knowing your strengths & weaknesses, as well as opportunities & threats, is a valuable advantage. I will use a SWOT analysis to figure out what my strengths and weaknesses are, as well as what opportunities & threats I face.

Here, we learned things dealing with academic writing. We learned that academic writing should be precise, well-organized, focused as well as supported by evidence. Its key goal remains to make the reader's understanding easier. It has a formal tone as well as style, yet it is not overly long or loaded with arcane language. Descriptive writing remains the most basic type of academic writing. Its primary goal is to disseminate facts. Summaries as well as results reports are summaries of journal articles & experiments, respectively. I plan to read more about academic writing to help me develop the essential skills.

We write on a variety of topics in order to practice the abilities that we covered in the preceding 5 sessions. The meeting focused on Risky Business in China. Everyone knows that China remains a universal's factory, capable of creating virtually any product. Conversely, we're all aware of the hazards that come with interacting with these people. As a consumer, I've observed that delays as well as bad quality are the key complaints. Another topic on which we sought advice and practiced our writing was the development of sustainable tourism based on the world's inexhaustible natural wonders. I want to work on these skills on a daily basis, both alone as well as with other students.

Plagiarism happens when you use ideas and words of someone else without giving credit to the author (Awasthi 2019). Evading plagiarism is so simple because an individual has to keep track of all the sources that you use during your research and properly referencing them. Using sources as well as citing and paraphrasing them. The most efficient way to avoid plagiarism is to cite your sources. Plagiarism occurs when you assume the information is your own without citing a source. I plant to read various books on methods of referencing and apply them in the process.

This journal should be formatively submitted for feedback, via Blackboard, at the end of this week.

This week we learnt more about developing presentation skills. Here, we learned that when a person use referencing, he/she have to give credit to other people's works. All university assignments that use the words, ideas and research of other people must include citations (Greczynski and Hultman 2020). Additionally, we were introduced into some advantages of presentation. Some of the advantages include career preparation and development of spoken communication. Here, we discussed the advantages of public speaking skill. Some of the advantages include motivate others and make an individual more popular. We also look at the stages of presentation. I plan to develop this skill by practicing.

This week, we were taken through interview skills. We learned that interview skills remain the behaviours and abilities that enable an individual to be more effective throughout the interviewing process. Interview skills may often assist job hopefuls in preparing for interviews and guiding them through the entire interview process (Ward and Esposito, 2019). The ability to connect your personal or professional experience to the job criteria & requirements is a critical interview skill. This is advantageous to both you & the manager because it boosts your confidence prior to an interview. A person must have done extensive preparation as well as be able to confidently discuss their abilities, experience, as well as credentials in order to prosper in a job interview.

Here, we learned more about employability skills and competency. The set of transferrable skills that a person possesses can be characterized as their employability (Mello and Wattret 2021).Businesses frequently outline a list of qualities they expect from a new hire in addition to technical and issue experience. Numerous sought-after skills in modern's economy are either hard or soft, depending on the ability of the person to communicate and interact with people, as well as your ability to use technology. I want these kinds of skills on my resume whether you're looking for a job or want to advance in your existing work. Every occupation necessitates a specific set of talents and characteristics. These remain the features that make a person pleasing to a potential employer. Managers are always on the lookout for mentioned skills. I must have interpersonal as well as problem-solving skills, as well as a preparedness to learn new things as well as adapt to rapidly changing environment, to be employable.
