Design and Deployment of ADAV
Discuss about the Elevated Platform Firefighting Truck.
There has been a request by the authorities of the Australia to have in the existence a design and the implementation of those fast response multiagency systems. This system has come to be known as the Air Deployable Amphibious Vehicle, ADAV. This vehicle is designed in such away that it can operate both on the land and in the water. It is usually introduced into the field through the crafts and the preferred craft has been 22 RAAF airbases that is in the Australia. The deployment of the ADAV is done through the delivery system that is called a sled. The sled can be from the cargo, truck or the helicopter. The agencies have modules each attached to the ADAV using the mounting system. This mounting system allows the government agencies to respond with necessary equipment’s and tools during the emergencies.
The document focuses on the investigation of the Fire Fighting Module that can be effectively be fitted into the ADAV.In the past the system requirements had been made for the similar system but to ensure that the clarity purposes within the documents are achieved, there will be second mentioning the lists.
There will be the development of the system verification plan
There will be the development of the system validation covered in the same document.
The firefighting module of the Advowsons requirements have been developed in the assignment two documents and required one is as shown below.
It must be able to withstand the forces that are encountered during the deployment using the aircraft. This is per the documentation of the assignment two.
The vehicle is expected to operate on the land, water and this includes the adaptability to the variation of the land and water terrain while making the reference to the assignment two. All the ADAV connecting systems and the modules have IP66 ratings. The other characteristic considered here is the durability of the ADAV systems to MIL-STD-810 while concentrating on the vibration and shock profiles which are deemed fit for the terrain movement.
The desired features included the systems with the mating faces or the points. The mounting and the quick release systems in the ADAV are very important. This is a self-contained module. The system also functions in such a way that it can accept firefighting module and the other three personals.
The team Woking on the system will ensure that the design procedures and the methods of the manufacturing exceeds the normal duty cycle for this particular class of the few appliances with at least twenty years of the expectations. The warranty conditions should be submitted to meet the particular demands or the requirements.

The underground tank will be provided to ensure the provision of the low centre of gravity that is needed. In order to prevent the water surge from adversely affecting the performance of the vehicle, suitable baffling systems shall be provided. The water tank will have the overflow pipe of an average diameter 100mm that will discharge to the ground level only.
The overflow mechanism is designed in such a way that there is no building of the pressure within the tank when the filling is being done. A separate electronic tank with the water at a lower level will be fitted with the warning devices that will give the alert when there is a system failure. The warning system is located on the top of the tank where they can easily be seen.
The lockers will be located at the same height as the tank of the water with the single cab and with the dual cab appliances. The doors for making the lockers will be made of the material that is light weight but of very heavy duty. The self-latching locks will be used with the doors. The ease of the operation of the doors will be achieved by providing lockers with the counter balancing systems
The officials of the fire agencies will be expected to provide the approval before any meaningful construction is done. The shutters will be provided with a perfect finish of the aluminium which is anodized. The shatter slats that will be used will not exceed 50mm wide and preferably 30 mm will be used. There will be a provision of the means of holding the doors together with the shutters. Each shutter will be having an easily operated bar that is also lockable.
The handle of the locker shall not protrude beyond the width of the appliance .The blocker drums will be located high so as to allow the easy opening of the door GAO et al 2012.The bump stop will be fitted with the shutter to prevent possible destruction in the shutter as the door opens. The nitrol chemical rubber that is also fuel resistant will be incorporated in the locker and any other opening will be sealed so as to limit the vapour from interfering with the clean lockers. During the assignment two, the specification of the components that were required to meet the criteria of the design were discussed. The verification in the third assignment of the firefighting module for the machine is done in details. The verification of the performance was done using different methods that included Inspection, Testing, Analysis and finally Certification.
The inspection method will be used to check if the pump shall have the equal voltage compared to the vehicle and to ensure that it is properly connected to the electrical system. This inspection exercise will be achieved using the multimeter.
This is a very important stage since it will determine the viability of the project. The testing method of verification will be used to find out if all the shutters will incorporate counter balancing that makes the operation easy.
Features and Specifications of Fire Fighting Module
The analysis technique will be obtained from used to find out the location of the tank with the aim of creating a very low centre of the gravity. The information will be obtained from the mechanical handbook.
The systems used must be able to meet the standards that have already been laid down. The certification technique will help to check if the water level in the low pressure tank is maintained. This will be done in reference to the assignment two that had been previously done.
The main aim of the validation plan is to that the ADAV meets the conditions that had been set as described as the concept of the operation.
The scope of the study takes into account properties of the components of the firefighting and the subject them to test to determine their functionality.
The validation will be required to conform with the components that have already been illustrated as the requirements of the ADAV.All the subsystems to be of the requirement of the ADAV design. The system testing can be used to confirm the testing of the ADAV while exploring different environment. The service documentation is also evaluated.
The country is known to be sparsely populated and posses a variation in the nature of its landscape. In order to help the government in the quick responds during their service deliveries, the system can be but everywhere within the country. Since the stakeholders have varied demands with some of them suggesting water as a means of travel while others use land. The vehicle must therefore be able to carry the load as required.
The methods of achieving deployments may be through road transport, air using helicopters or the parachute. The firefighting module will be effectively fitted to the ADAV band will be designed as required by the authorities. The system will be used on the current with the light duty to reduce the cost.
The effective engineering and even scientific tools will have to be used together with well defined steps. The assumptions that are accepted must be proven.
All the parts or the procedures that not successful and their subsequent ratification must be corrected. The plans of the test must be a reflection of the environmental concern.
