Counter-arguments against animal rights
Discuss About The Essay On Animal Welfare Rights Highly Debated.
The area of animal rights is highly debated. This is with much confusion taking place between the subjects of animal welfare and rights. These involve the rights for their fundamental liberty like to have the authority to control over their own life. To understand the animal rights firstly, the counter arguments are to be understood. These are weak in logic, however occasionally found to be right.
The first argument is that there are different predators in wild hunting and eating meat-based preys. Then there is no reason for human beings, who are also animals to be exempt. For example, it is countered that the lion is a feline. Again, Taurine is an important amino acid important for the health of these massive cats. This can only be gained from the meat of other’s bodies like a human. Again there is an argument that animal rights are extreme. It is defined in three ways. At first, it has been the exceeding the expected, usual or ordinary. This has been going to exaggerated or great lengths and turning radical. Lastly, it has been there in an excessively high degree. Then, there is the argument that pets can become extinct. Further, they have intended eating to be illegal. According to them, eating fleshes infringes over the animal rights to live and stay free. Again they also think that the vegans are killing animals too. It has been quite impossible for anyone to be presenting the Earth despite causing suffering to anyone.
It is proved that one cannot be carnivore and environmentalist at the same time. Moreover, as the rights originate from the thinking capabilities, them some hum beings mentally incapacitated and babies never deserve the rights. On the other hand, the some of the non-human animals with the thinking ability like human beings deserve those rights. None can argue with this reality, which is twisted where the most intellectually presented people of different species in the kingdom of animals deserve the rights. Moreover, animals never have their duties. It can be a twisted logic. All the creatures have the meaning of living life. The tick and even the bloodsucking pest is there as the food for the birds. Again, though the animals never have rights, they can be subjected to human punishments and laws. This involves death and imprisonment. Any dog attacking an individual is needed to stay confined and muzzled. This can be sentenced to die. The deer eating crops might be killed and shot by farmers within depredation permission. As the animals are punished under human laws, then they must possess the rights within the laws. It is another method of those horrible logics that people say as they come out of ammo. As the plants feel pain, they can be put in the position of human beings in a similar position to lions as one can never live without making consumption of the plants. Thus one can be justified morally to eat plants. Further, as the plants can feel the pain, it never indicates that eating animals and plants are equivalent morally. This is because it considers more plants in feeding any omnivore as compared to the vegan. Besides, feeding the hays and grains and other plant foods for the animals such that one can consume animals are highly inefficient. This kills more plants than to be vegan.
Logic behind implementing animal rights
After the counter arguments, the logic behind implementing animal rights are described hereafter. First of all the legal classifications are to be considered. It is seen that at many nations around the world, animal beings are referred to the sentient ones. They have no rights of their own and are objectified constantly. It legally permits aspects such as animal testing the farming practices that are unbearably cruel in nature for making a continuation. Here, the activists of animal rights are found to be launching various controversial instances in banning zoos, performing commercial animal farming and many more like hunting. This is by rejecting any kind of suffering or ownership of any type. Again animal rights activists have been strongly abhorring the usage of animals for any kind. This is regardless of that fact that particular practices are humane or not. It must be reminded that animal welfare has been a totally distinct matter. However, it can be confused frequently as it gets overlapped with the rights of animals. Further, animal welfare is the securing of animals. This movement protects every animal from getting abused by mistreated. As a consequence, the animal's right activities and movements of animal welfare never get agreed with each other. It is specifically evident with the activists of animal rights who are accused of the animal welfare organizations. For example, PETA or “People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals” can be considered here. It is to make the public be uncomfortable with anyone with brutal and harsh ad campaigns.
Regarding education, the awareness across the world regarding the humane treatment has brought various changes from the past decades having many nations passing the laws and concerns with the legalities related to particular practices. Apart from this, the various inhumane practice has been continuing and undergone huge scrutiny. This has huge pressure from the animal and public protection agencies to fight for the abolishment. Next, there is shaming and naming. Again, different movements have begun for brazenly shaming and naming the business and people known for the human and abusive type of practices on the animals. During the 80s, there was international pressure coming from the side of media and forced by the cosmetic business. This is to halt the practices of animal testing. There are activists of animal rights taking out of complete page advertisements in the newspapers having graphic images of photography relevant to animal testing. This has the names of the cosmetic business splashed around those pages. The practices have resulted in revolution to beauty and cosmetic sector having huge corporations that are found to be re-evaluating the inhumane practice of testing. Due to this, various businesses have been funneling a few of the profits for the agencies of welfare protections that are set up for protecting animals. From the year 1999, the country of New Zealand has been seen to set a fine instance through passing the “Animal Welfare Act” comprehensively banning animal testing. From that time, various nations have begun the laws of deployments to protecting the animal through putting a ban on the use of the animals at zoos, fighting, testing and different inhuman practices. Different important campaigns has been continued the fight for animal rights. This has cost billions of dollars throughout the year. However, these cases has never-ending up the court or any parliamentary legislation. Here, the right animal activities has gained the momentum with huge following worldwide and rise in awareness.
As far as animal rights in the present century are concerned, the movements are found to be constantly evolving. It has involved many respected scholars and celebrities in supporting and joining them throughout the world. It has involved the credibility and much more nations are coming forward for passing the laws to secure the animal rights. At the United Nations, the laws of animal rights are subjects that are taught actively at different respected educational institutions. Moreover, it is seen that many societies across the world have constantly been fighting to pass the ethical laws of animal rights. They have caused people for considering the alternatives for thinking like circuses and cosmetic tests on animals and making factory farming and vegetarian and vegan lifestyles. Apart from this, the attitudes to animal rights have been differing as per cultural and religious beliefs, practices, ages, education and geographic locations.
The various types of consequences related to animal rights. Various specific things are wrong and this is taught by animal rights. This is irrespective of the particular things that are wrong as the concern of principle. There are various things that are also seen to be morally wrong for performing that to animals. It must be reminded for the human beings never to perform those things irrespective of what the cost of humanity has been in not performing them. Further, human beings must never perform certain activities though they are done in a humane manner. Here, for instance, as the animals have the right never to get bored and slain for food, in that case, the animals must never be bred and then killed for getting food. This has been making no differences as the animals are proved with the best treatment across the lives and killed humanely despite any type of any or fear. This is only the plain wrong in principles and anything can never make that right. Ultimately, the accepting of the doctrine of animal rights indicates many things. Not to make any experiment in the animals, never killing or breeding the animals for clothes, food and medicines and never using the animals for hard labors. Apart from this, no hunting is to be done and no such zoos and usage of animals must be there for entertainment.
