Management Skills

Discuss about the Lead and Continuous Implementation for Management Skills.

These are skills that are needed from a manager, who will be controlling, monitoring and governing a given set of individuals and employees within the institution. The manager will be handling time and be the master of time management (LePine et al 2008). He /she will also help in the promotion of Australian Hardware’s productivity and production factors. The skills expected form the manager will be;

  • Good relation skills that will be used to bring the well-being of the organisation setting a better image of the company and employees in general.
  • The manager will invest in oneself he/ and employees whereby he/she will be motivating them and appreciating every move one does to take the organisation to top levels.
  • Inspiring employees will also be part of his managerial skills. Employees only work in an environment where they are well-taken care off and discouraged from giving up.
  • His/ her other role will be leading the workers toward achieving the goals and objectives of the organisation and its mission to its clients.
  • The manager will be in a position to expand his skills through organised legal seminars and training, and also will be research oriented to come up with something tangible for the product productivity of Australian Hardware.
  • Solving problems within the organisation will be another role. This shall include problems that may arise in the workspace before it appears or even after it has appeared.

The manager will work with the organisation resources effectively for the organisation to achieve its goals, values and purpose. This shall be a task for both low-level managers to top-level managers. He /she will support the organisation strategy delivery and help in working toward it, through the help of top officials and top management body. The manager will work under the following five principles;

  • Give employees work and assign them duties in their respective area of specialisation only for accuracy and speed during the work period.
  • Will obey and conduct himself/ herself in a respectful manner and do so to all employees and him/ her and above in the working environment.
  • All employees with the same skill shall work as one and in one sector in a given plan of action for total utilisation of the available resource and workforce.
  • The principle of the degree of centralisation will be paramount in a way that every action taken will be taken on the neutral ground and from a centred place.
  • Employees will also be given a room of creating and bring new ideas as a way of increasing value and promoting performance.

This is an individual and personal skills and knowledge within oneself (Bush 2008). In Australian Hardware, leaders are expected to show what they have for the sake of leading and guiding others. This skill is vital in that it will enhance and promote swift moving of the organisation. The required skills shall be;

  • The employee should be useful in planning whereby the given leader will be expected to have a better plan for the organisation after and even before it normal operations.
  • The head has to be an excellent communicator where he/she will be required to understand all the communication process and channels within Australian Hardware organisation set for useful understanding from other members.
  • Accountability- the leader is expected to be accountable for anything he/ she does as a way of being responsible for any explanation needed by the management and the board.
  • The employee as a leader will be expected to be a committed fellow who can do his/ her work with minimal supervisions and also passionate and has the love for the task assigned to them.

The given employee will, therefore, use the skills he/she has to ensure that the organisation moves to a more significant level than the level in which he/she found it. The leader will also guide the employees through the work process and activities (Catchpole, Handa & McCulloch 2008). He/ she will also increase the cooperation among the employees for quality services delivery. Chiefs will be controlled by the following systems;

  • The leader will be leading into the creation of teamwork that shall enhance the group and team movement and production.
  • The motivation of all employees shall also be another guideline where each leader will be appreciated the work and role of every individual and the teamwork effort done to achieve the organisation’ goal and objectives.
  • The leaders will have a role in providing a healthy organisation that shall be free from corruption and will also create a right image of the firm.
  • The leader will work with transparency, accountability and chastity where the leader will be enhancing and facilitating the improvement of the organisation towards realising its goals and objectives.
  • Lastly, the leaders will be subjected to far hearing from the organisation members and draw judgement after a fair hearing from both sides then judgement will be made.
  • Discipline will be principles where the leaders shall show total respect to their colleges, workmates and seniors including their juniors and vice vasa.

This is a combined group effort where individuals come together for a common goal and objective achievement (West 2012). It helps in achieving a task more effectively and efficiently. In this kind of environment, employees to provide their best and also have a room for acquiring new skills. All employee working in a team will come together for joint objective achievement. Teamwork will be a tool where employees will get a chance to interact freely with the organisation enhancing open discussions and cooperation between the team constituents (Curtis & F.K. 2011). It will lead to increased trust among the employees themselves since they will be working with those they know and understand better due to individual openness. Supported mechanical work will be easy to provide as members will be coming as one with different skills, ideas and opportunities for a goal and actual achievement. Innovations and generations will also be achieved as members will be bringing unique techniques and independent perspectives on the table and the drawing board. It shall also be used as a centre point for boosting and tapping the organisation performance through individual member strengths and attributes. The entire team shall work under the following six principles;

  • Every member will be answerable and accountable to any activity done within the business environment to the management.
  • There shall be total respect among the team member where each and everyone’s opinion, ideas, desire and interest will be highly respected and taken into consideration.
  • Each member shall learn to appreciate each task and work done and completed with the help of the entire team of an individual as a representation of the whole team.
  • All members will be focusing towards the delivery of the end product and results based on the task provided with the aims, goals and objectives of the group.
  • Private communications will not be allowed. Honesty and openness will be the guidelines.
  • Responsibility shall also include a guideline and principle in the teamwork participation. Every member shall be responsible for his/ her deeds and any legal or illegal activity in the business environment.

To handle the team better, the following shall be considered;

  • Ground rules will be there for the team which shows values, ethics and morals for every individual.
  • A leader will be selected who will guide the entire team on what to do and give guidelines towards achieving the given task.
  • A good relationship will be established and build. Each member’s likes and dislikes will be taken into consideration and will work as guidelines in commanding and ordering duties to each team member.
  • Fair listening to all members will be provided. Brainstorming will be allowed on fair ground and judgement will be given upon hearing from both sides.
  • Acknowledgement of each other workers achievements and work will be done as a way of motivating them and motivating teamwork.

This is the channel in which communication will follow in case of anything agent in the organisation. In case of anything, leaders have been appointed where communication shall flow from lower rank to higher rank unless otherwise (Jones & Pound 2008). In incidents where a meeting is needed, notices will be posted on the notice boards, and letters are sent to those who are addressed. In case of emergencies, text messages will be used when the secretary is that much busy or unavailable. When the heads are not available, their deputies will be in charge, and they will give directive as per the communication. When communication is given, immediate action must be taken, and upon assumptions, the penalty will be given depending on the assumption made (Dewan & Myatt 2008).
