These parts are divided into  four parts to cover Aristotle's  models, pathos ethos and logos. The different grammatical styles are applied throughout the speech and analysis. This speech applied argumentative and persuasive tone throughout from the beginning to the end to emphasize on the needs for pursuit of happiness.

The pursuit of happiness apply one of the grammatical tool employed by Brookfield to introduce the speech. The technique combine greetings and asking the audience questions basing on the valid statistic on the topic (Brookfield, 2012, p.9). This help the audience to visualize the important of happiness linking their minds with the risks of denying themselves the happiness. A question in the speech also provide the opportunity for the audience to engage their brains in the work breaking the monotony that existed before the speech (Turner, 2016, p.28).

This techniques makes the audience feels important and want to listen more because they feel the speech is majorly designed for them (Wang, 2016, p.63). h.

The speech content is introduced by giving the facts and theories that have been trying to explain the pursuit of happiness over a number of years. Hedonic and satisfaction theories are used to show how the happiness has been a topic of interest over a number of years. The words like century has been used a number of times to explain the magnitude or the numbers of year happiness pursuit has been researched.

All along the speech logos style is employed to express the facts and arguments in a logical manner (Dilts, 2014, P.23). Hedonic and life satisfaction theories as explained by philosophers is used in this case to help the audience understand the meaning of happiness from different points of views and perspectives. To help understand the happiness in the contemporary world and statistics, world happiness report (WHR) was referred (Sachs, 2018, p.56).

Analysis and Reflection

The perspective of different people in relation to happiness pursuit is well expressed through the use of logos. Russians scenario is a good example that is used to express how the people perceive happiness in the world .

Arguments are used to give weight the need for the pursuit of happiness. repetition of words and sentences is done to stress the need for the pursuit of happiness Linguistic is used to coordinate important events in the speech. Stories is one of the many vital mechanisms of the speech. This guarantee the listeners an open form of the expression. Comparative tone and style is also applied in this speech (Turner2016, p.34). Russians are compared to Americans in one way or the other.  Language is used to express how people hurt themselves trying to pursue happiness. persuasion and argumentative style is seen a number of times in this speech, author used the terms ladies and gentlemen to persuade the audience on the needs to pursue happiness in their daily activities.

Pathos in the speech was not left behind as they are used in many occasions to bring the imaginative and emotional environment in the speech.

The story of how MacDonald’s spent millions of money and resources in teaching native Russians to smile and how to be happy (Stearns, 2012, p.34).  This help the author to bring out the picture of how costly the happiness can be if at all can be measured in monetary terms.

Quotes helps the audience to enter into the critical thinking and appreciate the philosophers who existed before us. The chines saying (Ting, 2018, p.91) explains and elaborate different stages of happiness as it drops towards the final conclusion of lifespan happiness achieved through helping others in the society. From this quote the audience appreciate the needs to value and minds other people happiness while not forgetting to meet their own interests (Peto, 2016, p.37).

Different symbols and things are linked  to pursuit of happiness. The author bring about the clear picture of how happiness can be attained in different levels as per the  theories and saying as explained by chines saying that link happiness to various activities. This is evident in middle class work ethics that claims that salaries contributes to social graduation from one class to the other hence happiness (Nakata, 2017, p.45).

Conclusions

The conclusion of the pursuit of happiness speech is designed to end the speech in a manner that the audience is asked to pursue the happiness. this is done through the use of argumentative style. Smooth flow of speech is also achieved by the author through the use of conjunctions like in “addition to…, secondly…., however…” This technique is very important in keeping the rhythm and the flow of words in the speech (Ting. 2018, p.75).  It also enables the audience to link one event to another along the speech.

The conclusion of the speech begins with direct address to the audience. This provides the room for the audience to get the summery of what is entailed in the whole speech (Lyubomirsky, 2016, p. 107). The summary of the details in the speech is very important for the audience. This enable the message to stick for a long time in the audience minds.

examples are used to give the kind of world that is better for everyone. Audience are given a task to mind about the kind of world they want to live and leave for their next generation. This gives weight how important pursuing happiness is of great important in the real sense. Giving audience these kinds of questions enable the content to sink deeper in their minds because of the weight and consequences attached to the consequences of not pursuing happiness.

Finally the speech is concluded by thanking and appreciating the audience for their time. This criteria has been proven to be effective in relieving the audience the monotony that may have been arisen throughout the speech (Oswald 2015, p. 15).

Conclusions

Pursuit of happiness speech is all about the desires to live a life in joy and love with peace with everyone around your surroundings. The speech analysis is concluded through a number of factors that are placed into consideration.

The first issue is the coverage. The speech is direct to the point and it addresses the pursuit of happiness as the matter of concern. It emphasizes on the need to pursue happiness using different models and also give example of tangible commodities that are attached to happiness.
