ABC Private Ltd. is a business organization that is looking to migrate to automated business management system in order to achieve the same, they have decided to develop a new business portal with a number of functionalities like profile creation system from the customers’ end, providing sufficient amount of business related information to the customers, content management system, document management system and others.
For the purpose of the implementation of the business portal, the company has authorized to conduct a project. This report is based on the development of a project plan that will be used for the proposed project of ABC Private Ltd.
The main goal of the project is to develop and implement an online business portal for the company so that it is able to move a major part of the business operations online. The objectives of the project are thus developed as follows.
- To replace the existing manual processing system with an efficient automated system
- To migrate to online automated process
- To develop an online business portal for the company
- To add a variety of features in the business portal
- To implement the business portal and integrate the entire system with the central server
The project has a number of different requirements (functional and non-functional) that are listed as follows.
Functional Requirements – The functional requirements of the project includes the new business portal that will have a number of different features, integrated business management system, a central server for storing data and supporting all business related operations online and others [14].
Non-Functional Requirements – The non-functional requirements of the project include the different features of the portal like customer profile system, information displayed on the business portal, suitable and attractive user interface, software platform for running the business portal, significant increase in the efficiency and speed of business related operations and others [5].

The quality plan for the project includes the quality requirements of the hardware and software that will be used for the implementation of the proposed system. Hence, the quality requirements should be as follows.
Hardware – In order to develop the business portal, suitable hardware must be installed that will be able to support the high end technical requirements of the extensive business portal [12]. Hence, the new hardware must be of the highest quality to prevent frequent maintenance and should be technically updated so that it will not need to be upgraded on a frequent basis.
Software – The software used to develop the platform as well as the application must be properly licensed and original instead of pirated versions [10].

After the development of the business portal is completed, it will be integrated with the main system and the central server. Further, testing will be conducted to detect and remove bugs before the project is ready to be deployed.
The key ethical values of PMI Code of Ethics with relation to the project are as follows [16].
- Vision and Applicability– With the project, the company must have future vision that will enable them to utilize the new business portal as a starting point for further development and growth.
- Responsibility– Each stakeholder must fulfill his responsibilities assigned to him in the project.
- Respect– All the stakeholders must respect each other irrespective of any incidents occurring before or during the project.
- Fairness– Fair treatment should be provided to all the stakeholders and team members in the project.
- Honesty– The stakeholders and team members must be honest with their work during the course of the project.
After the business portal is developed, tested, integrated with system and deployed, the project will be handed over to the project manager for review and appraisal.
The project has been reviewed and it is agreed that it has met all the requirements as previously decided.

Based on the project, some recommendations can be provided as follows.
- The project manager must ensure the project stays within the scope
- The IT supervisor should ensure the development progress is on the right track and schedule
- Monitoring must be done to ensure all the stakeholders are fulfilling their duties in the project
Conclusion
This report is based on an overall project plan for the implementation of the business portal for ABC Pvt. Ltd. In this project plan, all the basic details of the project including project charter, quality plan, stakeholder plan, communication plan, risk management plan and others have been provided. Based on the overall estimations, the project is expected to be completed within 87 days and an overall budget of $100,000.
