Background
In the present scenario, the country such as Australia is suffering from heavy energy crises and the government is still in search of identifying extra sources through which energy can be generated to meet the growing demand. The crises have resulted in increasing the rates of energy within the country, and the citizens have started facing issues such a frequent blackouts. Even businesses operating at small and medium scale are facing challenges in their overall operations because the government and electricity departments have imposed several restrictions on the use and consumption of energy (Djordjevic, Parlevliet, & Jennings, 2014). Now, the major challenge present in front of government is to either find the extra capacity of energy or to identify new sources from where energy can be generated, and the up scaling demand can be satisfied.
Solar power system is considered as one of the most reliable and cleanest forms of energy available all across the world. These systems work on a basic principle of consuming energy derived from the sun and converting the same for household and commercial purpose. Nowadays, even governments in many countries are encouraging businesses and residents to install solar power system and use the energy provided by these systems (Simpson & Clifton, 2016). The major and most important benefit of solar power systems is that they help in the reducing the dependency on non-renewable sources of energy.

Literature Review
Overview Of The Solar Energy Market In Australia
Among all the continents in the world, Australia has the highest solar radiation per square meter and this has resulted making it the most potential market for the solar energy production. Particularly the desert regions in the North West and center of a continent has the most abundant and large resources of solar energy (Hau, Oliphant, & Hu, 2016).
As per the research carried out Australia receives an average of 58 million PJ of solar radiation annually, which is approximately 10,000 times greater than its overall energy consumption. But currently Australia consumption of solar energy is very less by available solar energy resources, and it merely contributes 0.1 percent of Australia's total primary energy consumption. The most primary use of solar energy in Australia is solar thermal water heating. In remote areas, solar PV system plays a vital role in off-grid electricity production (Hau, Oliphant, & Hu, 2016).
However Australian government is continuously working and targeting on the renewable energy sources to meet the increasing energy demands (Sharon & Reddy, 2015). As a result, the Australian government has developed and implemented ' Clean Energy Initiative Solar Flagships Program.' It is particularly managed by the department of resources energy and tourism which has contributed $ 1.5 billion towards the construction and development of four large- scale power plants in Australia with implementation of solar thermal and PV technologies (Petersen & Buch, 2016).
Growing Demand Of Solar Energy In Australia
In the global world, solar energy is now considered as one of the most sustainable and renewable sources of energy which is a bliss to the environment. As a result, Australia is making its every possible effort to go green and be an Eco -Friendly continent (Kalogirou, 2013). It minimizes the pollution and reduces the emission of carbon dioxide gas which is majorly responsible for global warming. It is also very cost effective to produce, and its eco- efficiency technology helps in reducing financial cost and generates more revenues (Shafiullah, 2016).
Benefits Associated With Using Solar Energy
Nowadays the use of solar power systems is increasing within homes and offices. The rationale behind this growing popularity is that energy generated from the solar system is a renewable source of energy. The energy is the abundant availability of this energy and people cannot run out of this energy source (Pospischil, Furchi, & Muelle, 2014). However, it can be critically argued that solar energy cannot be termed as reliable because it is dependent on weather. In rainy and cloudy days, fluctuations in energy are very common. On the other side of this, the advantage of using solar energy is that it supports in saving electrify bills and the maintenance cost of this energy is also very low (Sener & Fthenakis, 2014).
