What Is The Effect Employee Commitment Organizational?
I am the maintenance supervisor of Coca Cola Company. The purpose of the assignment is to evaluate my personal strengths and quality and its usefulness in the context of coca-cola company, which would be partly based on my own reflection, others’ judgments and the results of the self-assessment tools. The assignment would also help me to influence and change my behavior for the better and my personal growth. In this assignment various other concepts such as diversity and organizational fit would also be assessed to enhance the inter-relation of individual character traits in relation to an organization. This would help me to have a fair idea about the areas that need improvement within me and things that would be needed to result in making me a better professional.
The chosen organization, Coca-Cola, a company that has its roots grounded in the year 1886 when Dr. Pemberton created the flavored syrup and took it to the nearest pharmacist only to name it as coca-cola (Gillespie and Riddle 2015). The packaging of the flavored syrup bottles came under a number of imitations by other companies however with the years, the brand created a strong and favorable image by marketing and advertising that associated with the product ambience of fun and frolicking. Marketing department of coca cola has gained it access to more than 200 countries spanning across the world. The company uses competitive positioning strategy to beat its numerous competitors in the field of non-alcoholic beverages. Coca cola has displayed trust in creating shared values for all stakeholders and customizing the products based on the socio-economic demographics within which they are operating (Gattorna 2017).
On the positive side coca cola is that it has embraced diversity by gaining access in more than 200 countries and has made its product available to every community of the country they are operating in. this has made the product an intrinsic part of many cultures and around 92,400 employees are benefitted from the ethnic diversity that coca-cola has integrated in this functioning (Gillespie and Riddle 2015). The business which operates in a global level is also responsible for creating job opportunities through their value cycle. Their primary aim has been too cater to the people belonging from backward communities and thereby increasing the economic value of the community. Coca-Cola’s economic impact has been felt in countries belonging from continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe where Coca-Cola has ensured in massive employment rate (Dong et al. 2016).
Methodologies
For the successful completion of the assignment I have approached the assessment in systematic and objective manner. My sources of information are company websites, my own understanding and knowledge, self-assessment tools and government data with which I would support my claims. I have made use of two self-assessment tools one has sought to give a fair idea about my personality and strength the other has been used for emotional strength. The primary one was responsible for establishing the key facts and extend of rational and irrational within me while the second helped me to assess the score of motivation, self-regulation and social skills present within me so as to improve and make the best usage of it within my personal as well as professional sphere. Some of the naturally occurring data that I have gathered are taken from my acquaintances and friends.
One of my key strengths is to apply sense rather than intuition during the completion of an action or prior to making an important decision that might be important in the operation of the organization. This puts me at a greater advantage than my colleagues in taking strategic decisions at crucial junctures in the operational or managerial process.
Additionally I can use my critical thinking faculties to apply in any critical situations in life or within the peripheries of my organization that would require thorough planning, analysis and reflection. I can use this faculty for a self-disciplined corrective thinking that would also entail effective communication and problem solving abilities within me thereby enabling me to overcome crucial problems in my life detrimental to my success. Systematic thinking would also pave the way for generating new ideas and strategies with successful elimination of blunders by anticipating as much as possible (appendices 3).
My ability of perceiving things can be beneficial to fit me better in an organization. Since in a globalized world members of an organization are bombarded with new thoughts and ideas every minutes, a careful perception of the surrounding environment would be necessary to transform those thoughts into actions for a linear progression of the organization towards success.
The presence of extrovert qualities within me is advantageous since it will not prohibit me from formulating the best plans or voicing my personal opinions in a group work that I might held as importance. This can be considered as a strength, pushing me towards growth. This quality can also prevent me from accomplishing tasks that require more verbal interaction than thinking or physical action.

According to The Global EI Test I have scored 6 in self-awareness and therefore this is an area that needs improvement and thorough consideration. Self-awareness would help me to communicate with my co-workers as well as with myself with clarity and understanding (appendices 1).
My self-management rating is low as 5 and this is definitely a weak point towards the path of my growth and evolution since it is a powerful weapon to understand my position in the backdrop of workings of organization. Self-management would enable me to develop a clear understanding of the surrounding work environment and demands of the clients. This particular personality trait could consequently hold me back in my chosen field since it is required is required for a systematic management of myself that would help me to be more productive.
One of my key opportunities as assessed from the self-assessment tool can be considered relationship management skills. In an organization, this skill would help me to build a strong awareness of customer requirement, marketing skills, enhance my skills at bonding with co-workers, self-motivation and encouragement that would help me in fostering constant growth. My relationship management skills would therefore be helpful for both personal and professional growth. I can also employ this skill in future projects to gain new contacts and assessing the best strategies in the field of competition.
In my organization the need to develop business partners is an utter necessity and which requires persuasion skill as well as listening skills. As I weigh high on social awareness skills this would facilitate me in better evaluation of people since many of my competitive co-workers have previously failed to demonstrate these skill, it could place me at a favorable position than others.
The changing pattern of the market needs coca-cola to incorporate many new strategies and mind-frame that would put them at a competitive advantage. I can utilize my critical thinking skills to make the best usage of this scenario and enumerate the best ways to avail that can put the company at a competitive advantage than the others. This would also enhance the possibilities of my recognition in the company as someone who has the capacity to analyze and assess the market in order to position the company at a favorable position.
Opportunities
In coca cola a number of new things emerge time and again and which tend to find a place within the organizational structure. However, my ability to have a better perception quality would put me at an advantageous position over others who are constantly failing to judge the trends based on their capacities.
Some of the obstacles that I currently confront at workplace are problems of being firmly ingratiated within group and smoothened team interactions that as a consequence delays a number of activities and decision making processes.
My lack of self-management skills could hamper me in completion the project within time and estimating resources and time while performing a task (appendices 1). The rising competitiveness around me further accentuates my lacks and can consequently result in usurpation of my place in the company.
The job role is however quite demanding and therefore my lack of self-awareness as apparent in the self-assessment test can prevent me from developing and accommodating new skills within myself as per the need of organization. It can therefore pose as a major threat for myself (appendices 2).
The upgradation of company technology can limit my role as a maintenance supervisor since today machines are acting as substitutes for assessing quality and maintaining this. Technology is being increasingly used for delivering better quality service with implementation of strategies and plan which puts my position at a vulnerable point.
The entire concept of diversity represents the multitudes of culture, race, nationality, religion, cultural symbols, ethnicity, beliefs and practices co-existing in an organization. Greater emphasis on diversity would always act as a strength for the organization since it generates for the creation of different perspectives, opinions, voices the integration of which can be of immense value to an organization (Irefin and Mechanic 2014). Coca cola can immensely benefit from the diverse workforce that it integrates by assuring employees’ personal growth and exposition to new cultures from which they can ascertain a clear idea of their position in a global environment. In this case, I have seen the advantageous impact of diversity at McDonald’s which has effectively prospered its business and made its brand known by embracing diversity and thereby gaining better market penetration globally.
In management understanding diversity would foster within me an understanding on how to value and make the best possible usage of diversity in organization. Practices of diversity, formulating policies for the preservation of diversity are necessary to maintain the production of positive outcome from the company. In the sphere of management, understanding diversity theories would help me in identifying core issues and problems and address them in the best manner possible.
Based on my SWOT analysis I envision myself in working for the organization, Coca-Cola Company in future since the organizational structure would provide me with an atmosphere of decision-making and strategy analysis which my SWOT analysis. According to SWOT I am extroverted which would also pave the way for a better understanding of how diversity works since I will able to interact and take part in exchange of ideas in a better manner. Coca cola also paved the recruitment of young talent which would help me to analyze their trends and demands, with my perception and assessment powers in a less complicated manner (Abugre 2016). Furthermore, I can make adequate usage of my improved social awareness skills that would be best utilized in a socially diverse company like coca-cola which consider the cultural dynamics of a number of continents. It is therefore that I deem myself fit for the organization working to establish a harmonious relationship resulting in mutual benefits. Furthermore the other positive aspect of the organization is

From the above analysis I have attained a comprehensible review of my character strengths and flaws, like lack of self-management and self-awareness which I need to improve for my personal growth. My analysis of personal strengths would further help me to progress in life and have clear idea of the things that I can achieve with my potentiality. As per the feedback of my acquaintances I need to work on my listening skills to fit better in an organization.
