Write the Mental Health and Wellbeing For Emotional Outbursts.

Factors affecting mental health

Mental health is an important factor in professions present. In this article, the mental health of nurses is being discussed in accordance with the political, social, economic and environmental conditions that affect their proficiencies. The article also talks about the resiliency required by nurses and ways of developing and nurturing resilient traits (Barker, 2016).

There are factors affecting mental health such as, environmental factors. The lighting conditions in jobs affects the various employees in the highly demanding jobs that require a given level of control and enough resources to be able to provide management. Also, exposing nurses to infectious agents hinders their work ethics.. Another environmental factor is the existence of noise. The demands incurred therefore can be managed depending on levels and types of resources acquirable to distinct persons (Traynor, 2017).

Next is the political factors such as recognition and work rewarding. Stress develops because work is not rewarded appropriately leading to adjustment disorders, depression and anxiety. Organizational justice is key in management in an organization. Rewarding those deemed for it and promotion manages the mental health of nurses in health institutions. Another factor is the organizational support. Employees in every nation are affected by the level of peace and stability in respective nations. Nurses, lying in this category, are not left out as the levels of peace influence the mental composure that ultimately affect service provision. Leadership in hospital management influences profession motivation as bad leadership diminishes the mental health of nurses whereas good leadership motivates service delivery (Victoria Clarke, 2009).

Social factors in team factors such as interpersonal relationship and colleagues support are keys to providing emotional access and assistance in practical and fulfillment of psychological requirements. Mental ill-health comes up due to a bad interpersonal relationship, poor social support and bad leadership. Moreover, guidance from managers and leaders can lead to assurance and confidence of nurses.

Lastly, economic factors such as demand and control are ingrained in an organization leading to various risk factors which also affect employees. Also resources and management allocation and frequent trauma exposure can stress nurses.

Promotion of health can be done by establishing committed leadership support that builds healthy public policies. In the promotion of health, the activity entails increase of mental health awareness that go beyond the health care. Health is a great subject that needs to be put on the agenda of policy makers in every sector if not every level. These policy makers give directions regarding health policies and must be aware how sensitive their decisions are to the public health. Coordination is required in health policies to make revenue, social acts and health agreements possible so as to create great equity. An added point is the united involvement in health assurance, safe service provision, conducive environments and healthy public service. All the public health policies are to enable invention of healthier choices that are both easier to implement and workable (Mark A. Stebnicki, 2016).

Importance of organizational justice and support

Also, analyzing and creating supportive environments for workers recovering from mental illness one feature of the societies in this world is that they are complex interrelated societies. This means that health should be inseparable from goals that are to be attained (Barker, 2016). Looking after the environment entails conservation of resources in the world. In addition, a changing life patterns, involvement in leisure generally affects health. The community involved has to come up with ways that organize work so as to provide a healthy environment. Promotion of a healthy environment strives at making a work environment that eases the lives of the community (Karen Skerrett, 2015).

Promoting health by strategizing interventions that strengthen community actions and encourage early seeking of good mental health. Effective and concrete community action should set priorities, plan on strategy, facilitate making decisions and encourage implementation for better health. Empowerment gives way to control and ownership of individual community destinies and endeavors. When a community manages to develop, the existing occupants and material resources are usable in helping oneself and social support which enhance the development of flexible systems that strengthens the public. In order to strengthen the public, the society has to easily access opportunities in health learning, its information, and funds that jump start it (Reviews, 2016).

By individual resilience skill development that promotes social health requirement in the society and develops for information delivery, health education improves. By so doing, there is an increased availability of options for access that gives way to properly control regarding the environment and individual health. It is essentially to enables people to learn to prepare themselves for coping with life stages. Individual skill development is learnable in various settings in the community. One can learn while at home or work. Even institutions are applicable (McDougall, 2016).

More to it is the reorientation of protective factors in health services that promote mental health requirements in professional individuals together with the team. The health centers and social groups should also take part in reorienting health services. Health centers have to encourage an expansion of mandate that is respectful and sensitive to cultural needs thereby supporting community and individual needs for healthier life (Waller, 2016).

There are warning signs for mental health issues. A difference between bad moods and something serious exists, therefore, one has to be able to pin point the tell-tale symptoms that indicate issues in mental health. These symptoms are usually a combination of signs. However, professional advice is required to ensure proper diagnosis. Some of the tell-tale signs are (Dr. Margaret McAllister, 2011);

Social factors in emotional support

Normal human beings get stressed during the life span; however, feeling anxious might be a mental health issue sign when it interferes with one’s life. Various anxiety symptoms such as shortened breath, heart palpitations, restlessness, racing mind, diarrhea, and headache are warning signs (Jones, 2016).

If a person notices that a friend is losing in a hobby or talent that was a great activity to share or the person seems sad, it may be that the person is experiencing depression. More signs of depression are being irritable for many weeks, reduced motivation and energy and being teary most of the time (Laura Simich, 2014).

There are extreme changes in emotions that are not normal to the mental health of human beings. Each person in different in moods, however dramatic and sudden shifts in a mood, for example, extreme anger or extreme distress could be evident signs of mental health issues (Trenoweth, 2016).

In general, about 7-9 hours are what humans require for sleep in every night. When the normal sleeping hours change thereby affecting the sleep patterns of an individual involuntarily, the person might be having a mental illness. One example is insomnia that might indicate signs of anxiety together with substance abuse. If a person starts sleeping too much or sleeps too little, the character could signify a sleeping disorder or depression.

In spite many people trying to lose weight to get fit, some people terribly have weight fluctuations or may be having rapid loss of weight. If these terrible changes are evident, one should be wary as they are signs indicating mental issues. Furthermore, eating disorders and depression are more signs showing mentally ill health whereby the appetite and weight are affected.

Most human beings take time off to get some peace and quiet. May be to clear their minds but they would not withdraw from life. Withdrawal from life is one major action that indicates a mental health issue. When a loved one keeps on isolating themselves, it could be an indication of bipolar, depression or psychotic disorder and if the individual refuses to get involved in social activities they require help.

Nurses can develop emotional resilience. Defining the complex word resilience comes with a variety of meanings. A wide range meaning can be found in literature such as recovery or react properly. A better meaning is the ability to bounce back at the imposed challenges that life presents. Research has shown that resilience is used during protective measures by children who experienced huge changes in life, stress, and deprivation. Therefore, resilience has its importance in professions and experiments have proven that resilience is not a fixed, innate feature but can be ingrained into personnel through careful target interventions. Resilience can be built into self and others by various approaches that include social confidence, emotional intelligence, social support and reflective ability.

Economic factors influencing mental health

One way is through mentoring and coaching. Resilient skills can only be related to a developed practice. Mentoring on the skills or personal strengths together with the distinctive limitations is a feature that develops the competencies of an individual. Coaching ability on personal traits such as self-awareness and problem-solving skills that were visible in social work personnel was an evidence of resilience ability. This ability facilitates a connection to one’s nature and empathy leading to high levels of psychological functioning and accurate emotional literacy fostering resilience. For one to develop reflective skills in learning for application in professions there has to be coaching. Coaching process creates an environment that allows professional to reflect, discuss and disclose the emotional reactions in their practice. Coaching also helps in developing problem-solving, developing goal-oriented perspectives and coping styles. Group coaching in nursing sessions has helped in reflection on emotional reactions relating to the practice and how they affect their decisions. Hence, supervision provides confidence, motivation and a sense of identity in a profession for future practice in the profession.

Another is through mindful resilience training regarding high risk nursing profession. Resilience training is an important aspect that facilitates an integration of resilience in curriculum activities. This collaborative relationship creates self-awareness, develops reflective techniques and helps one identify personal strengths. It also equips individuals with ways of psychological protection during stressful times. In periods of work-related stress, mindfulness training helps employees. The trainees get the opportunity to pay attention that is purposeful and non-judgmental. Instilling mindfulness relieves compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burnout.

From the social, political, environmental and economic factors, it is seen that nurses ought to develop resilience so as to overcome pressure and stress in their profession. The mental health promotion strategies supervised reflective ability and mindful peer coaching is a solution to good mental health.
