The focus point of the report is to take into consideration the aspect of the network infrastructure relating to the city of Mandurah. The information technology issue, which is faced in the city, is taken care of by the local government of the Western Australia. I have been given the role of a consultant who would be trying to address all the issues, which are majorly faced by the city and take into consideration a solution to the network issue within the concept of the city. Taking into consideration the city has different services and building that need the support of the information technology and set up of the network. Hence, it can be stated here that the analysis of the city and a set of fully functional plan relating to network would be mainly discussed in the report.
The network design which is related to the individual site and the services have been majorly stated in the report and a network design which is related to the MAN for the whole design have been provided into the report. The analysis and the description of the selection of the hardware has been included for the aspect of giving a clear idea to the reader. Additional information, which is related to the Green IT solutions and the development of the solution and hardware, have been focused into the report.

Analysis of Network hardware and cabling required at a Local Area Network
Network Interface Cards – 1GBPS Network Card, 802.11AC Wireless
A Network Interface card (NIC) can be estimated to do the functions, which is intended to be performed by the card. The main functionality of the network interface card is to provide an interface onto a network (LAN usually) for a system of computer. A point-to-point connection between the interfaces is usually known as a serial card rather than the concept of the NIC. On the other hand, it can be stated as a network interface. In most of the common PC motherboards, it can be stated that they usually have an Ethernet, which is built in. The model of the PC motherboard can be considered to be created when the LAN has were in the infancy and were not widely used. Due to his concept in order to get into the network, installation of the NIC had to be done. On the other hand relating to the concept of the additional support if the system does not meet the expected specification, the user can directly install more NIC cards in the option slot. In order to efficiently connect the system to the network adaptor the installation of TP GigaBit PCI express card can be installed. The concept can be considered to be very much suitable that directly supports different prospective of the broadband in the range of 10 Mbps and 1000 Mbps.
In this aspect, it can be stated that in the near future expansion of the network can be a prospective and hance to take into consideration the aspect efficient connection of the wireless network should be made into the network. The most favourable wireless interface, which can be installed in this aspect, is the 802.11AC wireless interface. The Wi-Fi certification of the alliance should be done relating to the different vendors relating to the wireless router and the access point for example Cisco, TP-Link and Aruba. Only when the following certification are passed then only it can be stated as a Wi-Fi device. The recent standard IEEE 802.11ac (allows the concept of greater power save and allows greater speed for the client devices and the mobile phone) which is being used by many of the mobiles and the vendors of the hardware. It can be stated here that the same hardware should be directly supporting the aspect of the 802.11 devices, which came into the working in the year 2000. The concept would be also supporting the aspect, which is related to the IP of the phones, which are released by the year 2020.
Cables – Cat 6
Taking into consideration the whole network it is majorly suggested that the Cat 6 cable s are used. The network renovation aspect which is being done in this case and all the aspects which are related to the network are being directly upgraded, hence it can be stated that the choice which is related to the Cat 6 cable has been taken into consideration due to the aspect of it would support the network in the long run. Although it can be taken into, consideration that the CAT 5E cable is very much cheaper but it can be stated as a quite slow. The Cat 5E directly offers the speed of data transfer at a rate of one GBPS per second at 100 MHz up to 328 feet. The chances, which are related to the aspect of the interference and transmission error, are very much less in this concept. The fact can be considered as very much important due to the factor that the aspect of the crosstalk among the wires would be very much less. The applications, which are used in the recent times, can be considered to be playing a vital role with the implementation of the cable. When the concept of the cat5e are implemented, it can be stated that the concept of the up gradation in this concept can be very much less. On the other hand, it can be stated that the wire in the concept of the long run would be not very much efficient. The installation concept which is related to the CAT 6’s has been directly enhanced it can directly support data transfer speed which is related to the 10 Gbps at 250 MHz without the aspect of the interference to the concept of the cross talk. On the other hand, it can be stated that the speed, which is related to 10 Gbps, can only work efficiently up to 164 feet. Despite of a limitation the CAT 6 cable can be considered more capable in the concept of the handling the speed, which is, related to the gigabit Ethernet network. In the future, it can be stated that the CAT 6 cable would be capable of handling a speed which is related to Gigabit Ethernet network. In addition to this there are CAT 6A cable that can be directly be used for the network and it can be considered as a best option relating to the network. However, it can be stated that there are scope which is related to the network, which would be expanding in the near future, and hence the section which is related to the CAT6 cables can be done.
Switch (48 Port, 1 GBPS Switch – Cisco) – VLAN Capable
The switches, which are related to the Cisco, are selected for the network distribution concept. The 48 port version is basically implemented in the head office due to the factor that there are 40 computers which has to be connected and in addition to this the 1 GBPS speed of the switches are the next generation of the enterprise class, access later switches and stackable. The concept also supports full IEEE 802.3at power over the Ethernet plus (PoE+), modular and field replacement network modules, universal power over Ethernet (UPOE) and power supplies. The uplinks, which are supported in the module of the switch of the switch, is 4x 1/10GE module of network (this concept can be used for the 48 port RJ45 modules and for the 12 port (or higher) 10gigabite capable models).
Router – Routing Protocols (RIP, IGRP, EIGRP, ISIS, OSPF, BGP)
The router in the network should be allocated with the protocols so that they function in the concept of the network. The routing information or the RIP helps the network by means of employing a hop count as the metric of the routing. The concept helps also in the aspect of the preventing the loops during the routing by means of limiting the number of hoops which is allowed for the oath from the source to the destination. The concept of the IGRP can be also used in the concept of the router, the concept is an Interior gateway routing protocol. It can directly helpful in the aspect of the exchanging of the data within the network and hence it can be stated as a propriety protocol. Additionally, it can be stated that the EIGRP can also be included, it is an Enhanced Interior gateway routing protocol that would be used in the model routing the routing decision automatically and configuration, which is related to the network and is very much suitable for different types of topology and media. Alternatively, the protocol, which is related to the ISIS protocol, can also be used for the aspect of the writer and it can be considered very much similar to the BGP protocol. It directly provides a link of the state, which is related to the routing reliable link of flooding throughout a network of routers. The shortest path, which is related to the first path, is the OSPF routing protocol, which helps the router to find the shortest path, which is related to the packet of the network to travel and directly provide the maximum efficiency, which is related to the network. Hence, it can be configured with the protocol and would be suitable for the network.
Servers (Print Server, File Server, Backup Server, Domain Controller)
The configuration of the network is done by means of a server. The printer server is one of the most efficient server which can be directly be able to handle more than one printer at one time which are implemented in the network. The single Parallel port fast Ethernet print server TL-PS110P print server provided by the TP link can be directly used as the printer server for the network. It directly allows the user to take the computer directly out of the loop while the setting up of the network of the printers. This would be beneficial in a way of allowing the computers to access the printers by means of the LAN. It can be stated that the online server would be allowing the organisation to back up the data and hence it can be considered as a job of the backup server, which would be done by the online server. Additionally it can be stated that a domain controller would be assigned in the head office of the organisation and this would be helpful in the concept of security authentication for the request of the server. The domain controller can be directly be implemented with the help of the bridge in the system that is used for the connection of the other aspects of the network.
For each of the office the system which would be installed is the Lenovo - (Celeron Dual Core/4 GB DDR3/500 GB/Windows 10 Home) (Black, 19.5 Inch Screen) would be implemented. This configuration of the computer would be perfect as per the requirement. For the main office the HP - (Core i3 (sixth Gen)/4 GB DDR 4/1 TB/Windows 10 Home/512 MB) (Black, 34.2 cm x 48.6 cm x 4.8 cm, 3.5 kg, 19.5 Inch Screen) system would be installed. These machine are very much effective in a way of storage and excellent speed and helps the organisation by means of providing effective performance
The network is divided into 7 sectors with 6 different office and a service centre of the city and the head office. The head office has a server and the storage device for the whole network, which is related to the city. The direct connection is done to the head office by means of internet. The network is also directly protected with a firewall installed in the main office. The networking routing is basically done by the means of a network router in the concept of the cloud. The connection of each of the centre is made to the concept of the cloud.
Printers and Scanners
In this concept, MF4750 multi-function Laser printer (black) is selected for the installation in the head office of the network in the city. The printer comes with a host of the features, which are very much useful and can be also stated as ergonomically and light weighted design. In the network, additional printers can be added which can be very much beneficial into the system. The HP LaserJet 1136 single toner printer directly supports instant on technology and saves much of the time, which is related to the aspect of durable printers and faster means of connectivity.

What WAN Solution
There has been a major advancement in the field in the concept of the field of networking. Hence, it can be stated that various options which can be related to the aspect of the WAN solution directly into the control of the city. The relay solution of the frame can be considered, as one that is thought would be most suitable for the aspect of the implementation of the network. There are other solutions, which are available such as the ISDN and the ATM, but the frame relay is considered as one of the most suitable solutions.
Compare different solutions
ATM, which is likewise, also known as cell replay can be considered as an ultra-high speed switching and transmission texture, which is directly expected to be frame of the elite part of the city. The benefit of the ATM is directly related to the aspect of the first work from 45 Mbps (DS- 3 lines) to 155 Mbps (OC-3 lines), which are gigabit every second (Gbps) run (billion bit every second)

The machine, which would be implemented in the organisation, is Microsoft Window 2010 version software
The mobiles software is which are to be run on the concept of the Android.
The switches would be directly connected to the desktops having the Microsoft window 2010 operating system.
The selection, which is related to the operating system, is the Cisco IOS.
Standard Operating Environment (Windows 10, MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud)
Taking into consideration the standard operating system the user with the Window 10 operating system provided by the Microsoft. The operating system would be directly allowing the task of the network. They also allow the user to perform various type of multitasking process. It would be providing various type of process, which are multitasking. The system would also be supporting the aspect which is related to the supporting the operating system.
The concept of the VLAN directly allows network to work virtually as an LAN. It allow a manager of network to logically segment a LAN into different domain of the broadcast.
A firewall can be considered as a program or hardware device that directly filters the information coming through the internet connection into the network, which is private, or computer system
Encryption to scramble readable text into unreadable text
The concept of encryption uses algorithm directly to encrypt a data for the purpose of security.
Restrictions on user accounts
Restriction of a user access to only their profile folder directly means they would be able to see the desktop.
Assumptions and Green IT considerations
Assumption 1: It is assumed that all PC’s in the Mandurah Head Office Use Windows 10 only.
Firstly, during the development of the network for the organization, it is assumed that the only Windows 10 operating systems are being used by the head office of the city. This helps during the implementation of the network and each and every does not require checking and hence, the software implementation procedure for the network would be
Assumption 2: It is assumed that all the networking centres would be having wireless router connected to their system.
It has also been assumed that the wireless routers would be available at all the station. This would provide wireless access at each and every node of the network. Hence taking this, into consideration the network implementation would be done.
The solar panels should be used in the networking system for the city. This would help the city in getting natural power and a large amount of energy that would have been wasted in the network of the city would be saved by using this option.
Low Energy Compliant Devices
The device which support the green movement should be used. There has been development of these green movement devices that help the organization in maintaining the ecofriendly nature of the network implementation. The devices would also be useful due to their low emission of hazardous gases. Hence, this would help both the nature and the city.
Policy1: All the employees should be switching off the machines when they are not working on them
All the employees should switch off their systems after use. Additionally, the network or the parts of the network should be turned off alternatively. This would help the network in running smoothly even in low power.
Policy2: All Screens turn off after 5 minutes idle
After a certain screen has been idle for a certain length of time the screen of the system should be turned off and the sleep mode in the computer should be activated.
