1. Johnson & Johnson like other renowned multinational organizations, had established a functional type of structure during its initial operations. The structure at J&J constitutes around 180 distinctive operating segments which involves McNeil Consumer Products, Ortho Pharmaceuticals along with J&J Consumer Product (Johnson & Johnson, 2018).  The company further introduced products like Johnson & Johnson Baby Shampoo and adhesives whereby each unit has been organized independently and the whole business operation has been regulated by the Johnson & Johnson Family Headquarters (Johnson & Johnson, 2018). However, such a decentralized structural formation of the company facilitates its employee base to develop them within the organization and further aids the employees to generate innovated ideas to effectively introduce various products and technologies in order to accomplish the customer needs and demands (JnJ.Com, 2018).

Johnson & Johnson with a global structure has been effectively developing strategies by introducing iconic brands from OTC to several other beauty brands and further to establish international scale into the operating model and competence (Athey et al., 2013). The post of the organizational structure by Fanghong Cheng has provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the organizational structure of one of the renowned multinational medical devices, consumer and pharmaceuticals products manufacturing company. Fanghong Cheng has explicitly evaluated the way the decision making processes of J&J has effectively the autonomy of executing the business operations of the company. I gathered an inclusive awareness of the company’s consistent ethical values and standards which further determines an essential code of principles and morals. Through the evaluation of Cheng, it can be noted that these codes and standards provides a consistent direction as well as parameter based on the ethical behaviour of its employee base which further facilitates the company’s local administration to regulate on local situations and effectively engage the local communities. Cheng’s knowledge on the organizational behaviour of Johnson & Johnson has further enhanced my perspective related to the sustained and thriving global expansion as well as diversification with the improved understanding of local culture, communities, administration along with the potential requirements in significant marketplace. It has been identified by Cheng that the local administration sustains power and approaches which facilitates J&J to be increasingly flexible and autonomous between businesses.
