•Develop an appropriate metric - this sets the target and expectation of all the stakeholders. It is important to determine a quantitative target that needs to be expressed as a metric in terms of an increase or decrease of money.
•Determine the timeframe for achieving the MOV - ask yourselves, when do we want to achieve this target metric?
•Summarise the MOV in a clear concise statement or table

Define Scope and produce a Scope Management Plan

Define the scope of the project and detail how the scope will be managed.

Provide a list of Resources

Identify and detail the resources for the project using MS Project where appropriate, including:

Facilities - where will most of the teamwork be situated?

Using MS Project, develop a schedule using a high-level Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). It should include:

Milestones for each phase and deliverable

This will tell everyone associated with the project that the phase or deliverable was completed satisfactorily.

Activities / Tasks

Define a set of activities/tasks that must be completed to produce each deliverable.

Develop a budget using the time and resources estimated for each task or activity
Using the Risk Identification Framework outlined in your text as a basis, identify five risks to the project – one for each of the five phases of the methodology.

Analyse these risks, assign a risk to an appropriate member, and describe a strategy for the management of each specific risk.
Develop and describe the following that your project team could implement to ensure quality;

Write an Annotated Bibliography for three (3) relevant texts or readings around project evaluation.

b. Develop a closure checklist that the project team will use to ensure that the project has been closed properly.

c. Develop a project evaluation –outline and discuss how your project’s MOV will be evaluated.

Identifying the Desired Area of Impact

This project depicts the role of design and development of an online platform in terms of application of website and subsystem for the I-Crop Company. It is the role of the project manager and the assigned project team members to accomplish the project objectives within the estimated budget and time.  The concept of Measurable Organizational Value (MOV) was coined in the early stage of project management performance. It is referred to as an alternative tool more to the Return on Investment (ROI) and other feasibility measurements techniques.

It has also been found that, the concept of MOV will help to meet the project objectives and project success eventually rather it can be said that the project objectives will meet within estimated time and budget if the MOV is accurately utilized. The term MOV implicitly holds measurable, provides value to the organization, agree upon variables etc. However the process of measurability is defined as little difficult in most of the cases. Therefore, with the help of these values organizational measurable can be achieved by the project manager and the project team members. In order to design and develop the project if any such decision is taken then accordingly the project’s MOV are also required be considered.

The desired areas considered for this project are as follows:

Financial area: Commercial factor is referred to as one of the important factor for this specific project. At the project initiation phase the project manager is required to make a feasibility study to measure that whether the project is successful or not.

Clients: Clients are identified as important asset for any project therefore before launching the official website of I-crop that should be approved by b oh the internal and external consumers.

Operational: In order to align the project towards the success criteria, all the projects operations should be done effectively.

Strategic: The project strategies are to be developed by the business analysts and the project manager. Not only this but also, the strategies are to be developed after making comparison between the similar type of project developers.

Social: In order to make sure that the social area is accurately met by the project team the social area should be analyzed. The operation should make sure that all the reasonable functions are considered by the project manager and the project team members.

Better: The website application platform is needed to be better compared to the other similar type of companies.

Developing an Appropriate Metric

Faster: The website should have all the functional features so that the operations can run in details. Additionally, as much user friendly the platform will be that much fast the application can run.

Cheaper: The access if the feature should be affordable by all their users. As much cheap the system will be that much numbers of new users it will be able to grab. 

Others: The other factors which will collectively help I-Crop to deliver successful services to the consumers within estimated time and budget are also needed to be considered by the developers accordingly.

Project scope is referred to as one of the most important part of project planning which includes identification and documentation of the project objectives, project goals, project assumptions, project activities, cost and time assigned for the project. The project documentation is also known as project scope statement.

The project documentation helps the project team members to keep themselves more focused to the project objectives. Based on the requested project changes the project scope is also required to be changed. It will also help the project team members to make effective decisions during the project design and development phase. There are many positive aspects associated to project scope management approach. It can articulate the details which the project entails to make the project stakeholders involved to their job roles. In order to assign project activities, budget and time it provides necessary project roadmap.

The scope of the project is to design and develop a website for I-Crop so that effectively increase their business values and efficiency. Apart from this another scope is to prevent the project to become more complex.

It is expected that, if the website is successfully designed then the consumers of I-Crop will be able to access the official website regardless of their location and time.
