An idea of the company and its analysis
I designed the poster for “ToysRus” which is a company in UK Toy Retail Industry. I have gathered good experience in designing this poster. It has helped me to recognize my contribution as well as the contribution of the company and thus I could develop the poster successfully. In this poster, I have analyzed the PESTLE and Porter’s Five Forces of UK Toy Retail Industry. It has given me an in-depth idea of the UK Toy industry as well as its competitors in the market. Further, SWOT analysis is also carried and the proposed strategy that is adopted by the company has been discussed. Although the idea is given in gist but it has highlighted the content in a clear and precise way.
Before beginning the poster, I had gathered an idea of the company. I had gathered knowledge how a small company develops gradually with the passage of time. It has also given me an idea how the company has opened several other stores in the country and the reasons how the company got bankrupted. According to me, I think it is challenging to present various ideas in an organized way and with limited word count in the poster. Moreover, I also had to develop proper co-ordination with the members of the company who has provided me information and knowledge about the development of the company. For analyzing Porter’s five forces, it was vital for me to develop an in-depth idea of the UK toy industry and thus it has become easier for me to find out the concerned information accordingly. According to me, I think it is necessary to compare and contrast the different ideas and approaches that are adopted by other companies and then find out the unique characteristics of the company. This will strengthen the customer base and it will be easier to highlight the unique features of the company in a short span of time. Further, I have also analyzed the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat of the company and this has given me an opportunity to find out how the company will develop and the possible opportunities that will help the company to develop and attract the customer base. Moreover, the targeted customer base of the company is also discussed in the poster. Further, Porter’s Five Forces, the competition between the rival firms and the strategies adopted by ToysRus to keep the customers attracted is discussed in the paper.
Seeking the attraction of the customers
The entire marketing strategy and the concepts that are associated with marketing, varied tools and strategies are discussed analytically in the paper. It has helped to seek the idea of the passer by or the viewers who will view the poster and thus get an in-depth idea at a glimpse. The customer will also get valuable information that is required before visiting the store and how the company stands unique from the other competitors in the market. While developing the poster, I had also gathered knowledge that is necessary for the online marketing and expansion of the company and also how it will develop better relationship with the suppliers. This poster will be advantageous for the other companies as well as the marketing and management student to enhance their knowledge in this area. The shift in the behavior of the buyers as well as the suppliers is also highlighted in the paper. In developing this poster, I have also gathered information on the different demographic factor that plays an important role for the development of the company (Parham et al. 2014).
Thus, it can be said that getting an in-depth idea of the different concepts will help me in future and thus it will develop and skills and knowledge in this area. Moreover, I can also develop my career in marketing as well as in advertising agencies that will help me in expanding my career in this field. Therefore, it can be said that while developing this project, I have gathered in-depth idea and knowledge of the different concepts associated with marketing strategy and how the company can expand in the short span of time with the available resources.
With the support of the managers and the employees engaged in the operation process, this poster was developed successfully within the stipulated time frame. The managers of ToysRus have been interviewed and adequate knowledge and information was gathered from them and thus it has helped in the development of the project. Without the support and help of the managers, it would become difficult to design the poster and thus put relevant information in the poster. This section will highlight the managerial and the operational contribution in the development and designing of poster.
It is important for the managers to decide how they will present the company to the targeted customer base and how this will help the company to develop within the time frame. It is also the responsibility of the manager to give relevant information on the development and emergence of the company in short and how this will contribute for the development of the poster. Team meetings are arranged with the employees as well as the persons who are involved directly in the marketing and management of the company to strategize innovative ways for the development of the company. The manager must manage the designing and production of the company and it will highlight how the company will demonstrate its features and products to the customers. The managers will conduct meeting from time-to-time and thus develop the design and layout of the project that they want to be presented to the customers. Moreover, it is also important for the managers to decide how they will present the company to the customers and the unique and special toys and products that will be demonstrated to the customer base (Samuel, Bandodkar and Rataboli 2017).
Role of managers and operational employees in framing the e-poster
It is the responsibility of the manager to check the information before printing because the third parties that plays a major role in poster printing often fails to deliver the correct information. In certain cases, it has been found that there might be printing loopholes or the information that is printed on the poster is not attractive to the customers. It is also the duty and responsibility of the manager to check that the layout of the poster is also appropriate and correct information is provided in the poster. In presenting and developing Porter’s five Forces and PESTLE analysis, the managers also analyzed the strength and weakness of the other companies in UK toy industry and to find out alternative ways to capture the UK market. Moreover, it is also the responsibility of the manager to expand online advertising rather than traditional method of advertising. The operational managers must take special care of the targeted customer group and how the company will expand and develop in such a competitive market in UK. It is also the duty of the managers to check that the company has unique features and thus this will help to attract the customers of the company. The managers must also keep an eye that the targeted customer group i.e. the children use the reality surroundings and the imaginary realities and they must manage them accordingly. They must present the choice of the toys in a better way i.e. the absence and presence of these toys will reduce the boundaries between the younger and the older children and between children and adults. This will help in the development of brand image of the company and thus the managers can also adopt better ways to develop this brand image (Schmitt 2014).
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be said that the managers must have adequate skills for the development of the company and finding out proper strategies that will help the company to develop within a a short span of time. The manager must also have better connection with the editorial board who will play a major role in the development of the poster and thus making it attractive to the customer base. It is also the responsibility of the manager to check that adequate knowledge, concepts of marketing are applied properly, and thus it will become easier for the third parties to develop the poster. It will also help the operational manager to get an idea of the substitutes and rivalries of the company and how ToysRus will differentiate its products from its competitors. The integrated store strategy is also described in the poster and this depicts the skills and talent of the manager to describe it in simple, short and attractive way. Therefore, the development of poster will help to company as well as the managers to develop innovative as well as attractive ways to visualize the products of the company in a better way and thus keep the customers attracted.
