LoveBangla: A Bangladesh-based Charity for Australian Homeless People

LoveBangla is a charitable organization that helps the people of Australia to get food and clothing. The remote areas of Australia are highly affected by poor economic condition and the people over there cannot afford food and clothing (Rches and Silvasti 2014). LoveBangla the Bangladesh based organization is helping those people who are affected by the poor economic condition to get food in a regular basis and also provide them clothing every 6 months. The organization targets the homeless people who struggle to get some food and who does not get support from the Australian government (Fazel, Geddes and Kushel 2014). The organization aims at bettering their lifestyle by fulfilling the basic needs of the people. The organization also supports the handicapped people who are not able to earn and buy foods sue to their physical disability. The organization also discussed their concern about helping the other nations people as well for that they need huge support from the local community and the governments of the respective countries.

LoveBangla is an organization that serves the people of Australia. LoveBangla is a Bangladeshi based organization that provides charity service in Australia. The objective of the organization is to provide free food and clothing to the homeless people of Australia. The organization is 5 years old and has been delivering these services to the people of Australia continuously. The interior part of Australia and the remote places of Australia have number of homeless people who does not get much support from the government. A large part of Australian population has been affected due to the lack of food and clothing. The organization mainly gets funding from t he public donation in Australia and Bangladesh. They also gets support form t he government and the local community. LoveBangla is focused on expanding their trusts in other countries as well so that they can help the people who need support.

Statistics suggests that in Australia there are 3.6 million people who are experiencing the food insecurity at some point in each year. Among those 3.6 million people 27% are the children. About 625000 people receive food from the foodbank agencies like Ozharvest, LoveBangla etc. About 65000 people are turned down every month for the food shortages (Booth and Whelan 2014). These are some scary number for a developed economy like Australia. These people need help so that they can survive and stop suffering from malnutrition. The causes of starvation are many for example poverty, food shortages, climate change and etc. The people who are suffering in Australia is mainly for poverty and food shortages ()Margulis 2013).

People who are not able to earn money or have poor economic condition tends to steal foods from the people of Australia. Apart from stealing the foods they also commit serious crimes like robbing the bank, murder etc. This increases the crime rate in Au8stralia. The only way to stop crime rates like this is by helping those people and providing the basic needs which will help them to survive. Providing a better life style and decreasing the crime rate i9s the main motto of the organization.

About LoveBangla and Their Mission

The organization also wants to set an example for the Australian population and the other community service organization that is based in Australia that this is a serious issue. The organization also wants to give a message to the world that there are people who need help and our little effort can help them to lead a better life in the society (Silvash and Riches 2014).  People can even die or suffer from malnutrition but the efforts that the organization has taken will reduce these risks.

The organization aims at helping each of the individuals who are suffering starvation and to gain the attention of the people so that they can increase their public donation. This will help them to solve the problems and will also help to provide food to those 65000 people who are turned down due to the lack of food.

LoveBangla is a Bangladesh based company that is focused on providing food and clothing to the people of Australia. The organization has been doing this for last five years. The organization aims at providing support to the Australian homeless and disabled people. Statistics shows that there are about 6 million people who are suffering from poverty and cannot afford foods. This is a scary number for a nation with developed economy. Someone have to take an initiative and control the poverty level and reduce the starvation. Among those 6 million people 27% are the children who do not get to eat every day. These foodbanks are helping the people of Australia. The quality of life theory only focuses of helping the society to increase their living standards of the people.

The theory that these organizations follow are the quality of life theory (Diener, Inglehart and Tay 2013). The quality of life theory explains means that everyone in the society deserves a good life. These organizations are focused on increasing the living standard of the homeless people and help them with the basic needs. As discussed earlier the statistics are very scary and to reduce the starvation the organization is focusing on the quality of life theory. By this theory they will be effective in understanding where people need help and how they can be more effective in delivering foods to them.

This community engagement theory is important as it focuses on bettering the human lives and this will also help the society to decrease the crime rate. Bettering the living standard will help the country’s economy to grow and it will also help them to live in a society with fewer amounts of crimes. This will help the society and the people living in it.

LoveBangla is engaged in a social service that will provide food and clothing to the homeless people of Australia. The organization gets support from the local community and the government of the country. The organization can be more effective if they try to create awareness about the hidden starvation in Australia. They need to organize programmes about creating awareness about how the lack of food is affecting the 6 million people on Australia. This will help them to raise more funds and will also increase the volunteers. The organization needs to collaborate with more communities so that they can be more effective. The organization can also retrieve the leftover food from any events or functions. This strategy is used by OzHarvest (Kuscu et al. 2013). It is the process of collecting the excess foods from any function or social gatherings and then distributing those foods to the needy people of the society. This will reduce the wastage of food and will also help them to give to the homeless people. The organization can apply this technique by collaborating with the events management team. This is a nice way to deliver food to the homeless people and it will also reduce the costs of making the foods.  LoveBangla can expand their charitable trusts worldwide which will help them, to gather more funds and this will help them to provide food and clothing more effectively (Brodie et al. 2013). LoveBangla can collect clothes form the domestic houses which they don’t use and can give those to the homeless people which will make will be very helpful for them and as well for the organizations as it will save a lot of money. World health organization can also help the organization to create awareness in the market (World Health Organization 2015). These are some of the recommendation that can help LoveBangla to be more effective in the society. The organization can use these strategies to help them more effectively.

This assignment helped me to understand about the organization. It helped me to understand how Australia is affected by hunger. 6 million people in a developed economy is facing hunger issues every year which is quite shocking. It helped me to understand how our small efforts can help the homeless people of Australia. The assignment explained how hunger affects the society for example it increases the crime rates. However, these crime rates can be decreased with the initiative that LoveBangla have taken. The organization has helped the society in reducing the starvation and by providing clothing to the poor and homeless people. The organization helped me to understand about the charitable organization that also focuses on improving the living standard of the people in the society. Community engagement theories such as quality of life helped me to know how this charitable organization can be more effective.
