Discuss about the Virtual Education System For Children.
The study focuses on a virtual education system for children who require a special pattern of treatment. The children are immature for serious lectures and classes and thus require special attention to focus on their academic lessons. The digital education system and virtual education is trying to implement the academic lessons to the children in a better way. The education system needed to create a creative style for seeking the children attention and make them used to the academic life. In general, it is seen that children are not interested to study new subjects, which they are not aware of. This education system helps the students to understand the education system in a friendly way and seek their attention. The education system needed a change and this organization has brought the change as per the student requirement (Laudon and Laudon 2016). The organization seeks to help the children and educate them in a different way so that they are attracted towards the pattern and pay attention. The technical world has introduced this type of E schools. They are working for such students and their parents, the employees are the teachers and the management heads running the organization. The study will discuss about the various aspects and role of such a school, it will also discuss about the various drawbacks and issues for such institutions and show a diagrammatic representation of data flow in this institution.
Virtual child international or VCI is a virtual world technology, which helps children to learn at home after the school. VCI is a technology that engages with the children virtually and creates a virtual world for them, which helps them in learning new things easily. VCI Park helps parents to teach their children without any issue as the children loves virtual learning and it entertains them(Colzato et al 2013). The employees of the virtual child international provide support to the VCI Park and guide the children are known as park rangers. Customer of this Virtual Child International are the guardians, they enrol their son, daughter, nephews, nieces or grandchildren to the VCI Park.
The main aim of this assignment is to make a requirement document that will capture the whole requirements for an information system, which will help in fulfilling the needs of the virtual Child International (Laudon and Laudon 2016). Another objective of this assignment is to find out the key problems and their solutions.
Objective
System analysis helps in improving the business quality. Advancement in technology helps business to apply the updated knowledge in the business operation (Stone 2013). This helps to increase the efficiency, internal problems, expand the opportunities and it affects the profit margin of the company. The system analysis helps in identifying both the opportunities and threats by identifying and assessing the key strengths and weaknesses of the company. Keeping the focus on the strengths of the company and reducing the weaknesses constantly will help the organisation in improving the quality of the services. System analysis are very helpful in the situation when a multinational integrated information system in needed. The advantage of using the system analysis to better the business quality is the increased profit margin. Low quality standards can have a negative effect on the company and can damage the reputation of the company. Competitors can enter into the sales territory of the company. The benefits of using the integrated systems are that it helps in quality control and reduce the cost or production by streamlining the production process and the data processing.
Data have been collected from newspaper journal, reliable internet sources and from journals (Palinkas 2015). Case study also helped to understand about Virtual child international.
Virtual child international provides a unique of learning. It helps the students to learn visually, which is very entertaining as well as very easy to understand. They provide courses that are very engaging, challenging, interactive and informational (Thomas 2015). They help to understand the complex topics in simple way by making visual drawings and figures. They have also improved the multimedia standards of learning by providing textbooks regarding the courses, storybook that will help them to remember the things, which they have learned, paintbrushes and drawing books and music CDs to entertain them in their free time. They provide courses ranging from preschool to advanced high school.
E-learning or virtual learning is one of the new ways of learning. The concept of E-learning are very new to many countries and people are not a big follower of this. People are mostly attracted towards classroom learning than the virtual learning (Witten 2016). Virtual leaning businesses are new and are in the growing phase, they have many challenges in front of them that they have to address first. Some of the key issues that the business facing are listed below:
- Lack of motivation: One of the key issues that the businesses are facing is the issue of lack of learners’ motivation. The parents are not so motivated about the virtual learning. They prefer classroom learning to the virtual learning. Many customer think that virtual learning is waste of time and their children will spend their time more on the virtual learning and will gain nothing (Fryer and Bovee 2016).
- Busy schedule: In today’s world, everyone seems to be running short in time. Parents think that the virtual learning courses is slow and time consuming and virtual learning will not be able to keep pace their kid’s learning. Nowadays children are engaged with different types of co-curricular activities, sports and they hardly get time for virtual learning, this is one of the reasons why the virtual learning is still lacking the market (Agarwal and Sinha 2013).
- Belief of tech savvy: One of the main misconceptions of virtual learning is that people thinks they have to be tech savvy or they need high-end computer system. The truth is that the customer does not need to have a huge knowledge of the computer system or does not need to be computer savvy. For virtual learning, they also do not need to have a high-end computer system (Alsultanny, Nouby and Al-Enazi 2014).
- Belief that virtual learning has no future: Another misconception about the virtual or eLearning is that they does not have no valuable results in the end. Parents think that virtual learning has no real life implication with their children’s education. This misconception prevents many users from enrolling their child and they simply ignore the virtual learning method.
- Expensive: The eLearning courses are expensive and parents are not ready to invest in the eLearning education. The installation process of eLearning software is very complex and it requires expert supervision. This reduces the interest of the customer and they do not implicate this way of learning.
Two of the main problem that the organisation will face is the problem of Lack of motivation and the belief that virtual learning requires tech savvy.
Importance of conducting system analysis
The problem of lack of motivation is vital and it can be solved by making virtual learning courses more inspiring and engaging. The topics, which are boring and hard to understand should bring is such a way that the children can understand those topic easily. The most important topic should be given more priority. Virtual learning should bring games that will increase the IQ level of the children and will help them in academics (Colzato et al. 2013).
Another problem is the belief that the virtual learning is tech savvy and requires a high-end computer system. The business organisation should give demo and organise seminars about the virtual learning. They should make people understand that a simple system can also help them in eLearning.
The business organisation can get a number of opportunities if the problems are addressed properly. They can have the opportunity of changing the mindset of the people and the change in style of education (Rodriguez, Granados and Munoz 2013). They may also have the opportunity to provide smart class in schools, colleges and other sectors.
The current objective of the organisation is to capture the market by providing quality education and a unique experience to the customer. Another objective is to provide simple learning method so that the children do not get confused and can learn easily, to help children understand the complex and boring topic in simple and entertaining ways.
The functional requirements of a support system can be divided into administrative functions, content creation functions, content management functions and product functions (Alharthi, Spichkova and Hamilton 2015).
Administrative functions:
- Publishing and role-based content designing
Content creation functions:
- Enforcing style guideline with the help of authoring interface
- Image library management
- Supporting the creation of graphical workflows
Content management functions:
- Automatically providing the checklist of work in progress
- Requires support for separate status for each of the following object- draft, final, review
The non-functional requirements of the support system are listed below:
- Understandably- Easy to understand and implement.
- Customizability- Can be customised according to the customer’s preference.
- Simplicity- Simple to understand and entertaining
- Responsiveness- user friendly and good responses from the administration during any technical issues (Khan et al. 2016)
Information about functional and non-functional requirements can be obtained by interviewing the parents. The parents can give them proper information about what is need to be done so that any issues related to the eLearning can be solved or the system can be made better. Another way to find these requirements is by organising seminar about this eLearning to find out the feedbacks of the consumer.
Documentation:
The top level process in the system consists of the managers and the HR of the company. They regulate the lessons required for the student. Also, a planner designs the pattern of teaching for the teachers in the company. The data flow description will consist of the following key factors: (Refer to appendix 1)
- The manager
- The operations head
- The designer
- The teacher
- The guardians
- These factors are the source for data flow , they communicate to resolve the problems faced by the students and teach them the lessons. It is important for these factors to communicate among each other to maintain a hustle free situation. The flow of data will be processed in the following way-
- The guardians will refer to the organization.
- The manager will receive the information.
- The information will be sent to the operation head
- The designer will create a pattern for continuing the education style
- The teacher will be allotted the design
- The teacher will conduct the class to the student
The zero level flow will be between the teacher and the guardian who will be communication only with the required source field. The manager and the operation head will interact with the designer, teacher and parents of the students. the parents communicate with the company to seek information from the organization. The teacher teaches the students accordingly. The management takes the responsibility to solve issue, manage the system and provide the best service to the customers.
Data collection
The lower level process include the teachers who will be conducting the classes for the students. The teachers are the most important part in this organization as they will be representing the company and its performance quality.
The data that will flow from these instructors will be as such: (Refer to appendix1 and 2)
- The parents will send a required course and syllabus to the organization
- The information will be received by the manager of the company.
- The manager will pass it on to the operations head who will decide the required teacher for the course.
- The data will be passed to the designer who will arrange the syllabus pattern that will be followed by the teachers to teach.
- The teachers receives the message and conduct the classes as per the requirement.
- The teachings are recorded and sent to the customers
- Sometimes live video chat are conducted by the organizations to teach urgent course.
Conclusion:
Thus, to conclude it can be said that such institutions are new creation to the society, helping them to develop a new scope for the students to build their career. Students are getting the advantage of seeking education in a different way that seeks their attention and create a well-framed education system for the generation. The system is following advanced technology and procedure to teach the students, however there are few risks related to this organizations. The latest technique might not be acceptable to the wider society, there can be a doubt of quality performance and thus the parents may not indulge into such systems. The costing of this system can also be higher in comparison to normal teaching techniques. However, new technology should be tried and tested by all, and the advantages should be taken from such innovations. the study ahs briefly described all the issues and role of this institution thus expecting that this type of education will have a bright career in future.
