Study skills are very important in the current education systems. This is because, it provide guidance on what a student expect to find in the institution of higher learning. Therefore, an individual willing to join the university education is highly advised to apply the study skills so as to have a prior expectation of the course of study in the university. This also make the student understand the areas of application for the study course under consideration. Again, the student is able to have a plan in the process of learning and the advantages as well as disadvantages of following HE course. The purpose of this report is to critically analyze the opportunities available in HE along with the advantages and disadvantages associated to HE course. Finally, the report will consider the SWOT analysis and Kolb’s cycle and their underlying importance. This will recommend the student on whether to join the university or not.

The education offered in the university by higher education is with no doubt a very important instrument that can be used to assist student to cope up with the modern life. This makes the university education very important in the job markets. In that case, many opt to take loans so as to supplement what they earn in workplace so as to fully finance the education. These loans have a gross period of one year. If an individual is not able to secure a job within that timeframe, there are high chances of penalties that are not easily payable without a paycheck.

3. Coherence of the degree program.

By taking advantage of varied as well as multiple chances to complete these courses, students are likely to succumb to that particular criterion associated to availability so as to advance their degree (Tallman 2009). The principle of availability could be true but there could be no relationship with total curriculum associated with the process of taking different courses from different sources.

These institutions tend to mask themselves where by the end of the day the student is rendered irrelevant in the field after consuming a lot of loans to finance their education.

Entrepreneurs do not need a certificate to venture into business (Segal-Horn 2009). On the other hand, those who decide to follow HE course will spend their money into a graduation while an entrepreneur would start a business.

7. Delaying the real world.

Education system is time consuming and may delay the process of achieving personal goals and personal development.

Opportunities available in HE.

There are variety of opportunities available in HE course. These include career opportunities that may end up becoming the main pillars of an individual. The participants also obtain skills, knowledge and expertise that can be used to influence personal life and lives for other stakeholders (Hitt 2014). Finally, the opportunity of personal life development and growth is very high when one is involved in HE course. Individuals are likely to rise to high positions in the government, companies and other institutions by merits.

The time plan is related to how to manage time. First, I will attend an open day so as to learn the different course offered as per HE courses. This will also involve communicating with admission tutor so as to be updated with the admission process and all the requirements. Then, I would attend college and tutorial events so as to be informed on the opportunities relevant to the HE course (Daft 2015). These events are always educative in nature. This time plan will be done when in college and is a first class time in terms of quality. On the other hand, I will use my quality time at work as well as to fix various commitments without disruptions. This quality time will also be utilized in time of home work as well as education matters. Finally, when fully exhausted, I would use third class time for parenting.  

The best HE suitable in this course is UWF. This is because the place is close to my home. This will be suitable because it will cut down the cost for travelling and other related expenses (Saloner 2009). This will also offers me skills and exposure towards my course of study. Finally, in terms of financial consideration, it will be very favorable since my costs will be reduced significantly.

This analysis assist individuals in realizing personal strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This analysis help in adjusting these aspects so as to favor individual development.

 This is a theory that assert that human being learns from life experience.it has four stages. In this case, the cycles are important for students who want to go to university so as to reflect on what he has done and experienced in HE course. This can be reflected in Kolb’s cycle below.
