The report will discuss in detail about the Facebook being in news recently where people actually misused the technology. Facebook introduced live videos sometimes back. It definitely looks like an exciting addition and revolutionary feature but little did he imagine it can be a disastrous as well because people started posting crime videos on it. Presently there are many revolutionary ways in which society is actually misusing the technology. There are internet based issues in the form of so many cybercrimes along with over dependence on the technology. It can be anything like watching a lot of TV or be on internet all the time (Stelzner, 2012).

The society has a very strong association with the technology.  At the same time, there is misusage of technology is not restricted to just one home but it is actually found in different kind of businesses as well as schools. The overall concept of technology is not a bad idea. In fact it is made to make people’s life easier. There are so many medical equipments which are saving life everyday but there is a very fine line that exists between technology that is based on saving the lives of people and safer and technology that actually run lives. Computer revolution was an important step toward development since it made businesses more efficient (Stelzner, 2012).

The obsession to be on Facebook and post everything there without even realizing the impact of technology in daily lives of people is now getting out of hand. Twenty years ago, the case was completely different and the PC was popular for business and work purposes only (Tang et al., 2016). Personal computer had allowed people to be able to accomplish so many things within their comfort at home and also there was an ease of doing simple chores. These days so many things like payment of the bills, shopping and even contacting a friend can be done through internet. At the same time, things have changed in the sense that people are not using the computer in a way they should and people are rather misusing it different manners (David, 2010). There are new terms like Netiquette which teaches people about the way to handle multiple affairs online. Columnist also discusses different ways to handle it in a right manner. However, sadly people are more interested in using it for all the wrong reasons and ways that can damage the credibility of it in long run.

Ethics plays a crucial role in this field since the power of the company has to influence the social as well as physical surroundings. Concept of ethics as well as morality plays an important role in the today’s world and specifically covers the area of computers (Tang et al., 2016).

There are five important areas which on must always are careful about as a company:

1. Integrity
2. Competence
3. Responsibility on professional front
4. Work responsibility
5. Advancement in human welfare.

To deal with different problems different associations are setup to address the issue efficiently. There are number of professions that have been setup for number of professional societies and there are different codes of conduct as well. For instance, the medical career has setup the AMA and the legal profession setup ABA. Likewise, the association for computing machinery and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers and computer society are some of the associations for number of professional societies in order to identify the profession in computing.   Similarly, the Association of Information technology professional addresses with different levels of conduct for different professionals (Tang et al., 2016).

There are number of codes of ethics presented by Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers which is also known as IEEE. The code of ethics consist of ten basic directives and the initial four tries to understand the responsibility people have while taking any kind of engineering decisions and focus on the featured like health, safety and welfare of the people (Tang et al., 2016). The second command is based on difference in views and accepting it after fixed period of time. The third part is to act very honest with the people as well as with the work. And the last one is not to accept any kind of bribery. All the mentioned commands are similar for IEEE as well as ACM code of ethics (Chua, and Choo, 2013). It is important the member accept the accountability of making the process of engineering consistent with the focus on health, safety as well as welfare of the public. It is important that they completely ignore the real conflict whenever it is possible for them. The honesty with the work and handling of data of company is also important. There is a list of different categories for non-discrimination at the same time; it does consist of anything that can be interpreted to any wrong signal (Tseng, 2015).

There are so many incidences of cyber bulling, cybercrime and cyber stalk where people despite highest security settings can lose information easily since people can access it without any issue (Moreno et al., 2013). The concept of cyber stalking is a new concept and but these days even a layman can easily do background check on someone. Live videos on Facebook allow people to share almost everything about their location and everything else so people usually turns to Facebook literally to know everything about people which sometimes makes it an unsafe territory (David, 2010).

People like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs must be thanked for inventing some revolutionary technologies since it entered as a boon in people lives and life become quicker and easier to manage. But as discussed these advanced technologies rather faces a lot of downside. As per different kind of statistics, young kids and teenagers are spending hours on internet every day.  This number will only grow in future and a lot of free time which should be spent on something creative and educative will be spent on computers and smart phones. This is why; it is important to be thankful for the invention of computers and internet but at the same time it is very important to understand the need to teach the overall management (Tang et al., 2016).

The theory has been found to be sound and completely justifying as it has been able to focus on the different work responsibility and improvement in human behavior. Not very long ago, Facebook introduced the concept of Live Videos and everyone got fascinated by the new feature added to cap of the company. In no time, people are online with so many interesting live videos. When the CEO of the company Mark Zuckerberg addressed the people in February at Wall Street he mentioned that the company was actually looking for multiple methods to develop the whole ecosystem of the content of the video on diverse platform. However, he was unaware of kind of trouble that will come in right after it. An incident in Cleveland where a person name Stephens was being accused of shooting an old man in the head and right after that he uploaded the video on Facebook page (Moreno et al., 2013). The video was watched by millions of people since it stayed there for hours. He also streams his post shooting work on live video of Facebook. This example is not the only example, where the new feature has been used brutally and questioned the existence of humanity. There are multiple other examples as well like the one where the footage has been recorded by a student while committing a suicide in India or shooting by mistake in Chicago and many more (Moreno et al., 2013).  The company claims that the team is very quick to take any kind of controversial content down and such incidences are actually a reminder how much things have become challenging for the company in no time when celebrities has the access to live chat with people.

There are so many transformations which are completely outside the domain of the company however, there are number of inexorable hard work that is delivered in a very sophisticated manner different kind of services. This is based on staying ahead of its current competitors like Snap chat and similar platforms (Moreno et al., 2013).

The good thing in all these years is that Mark Zuckerberg has actually accepted the level of power as well as responsibility he has. There was a time, when he completely resisted calling Facebook as a media based company and in fact the site as well becomes an important source of news for multiple users. He also discussed very less about the influence of the technology that it had on people. There was a lot of criticism also from so many critics who constantly claimed that encourages of fake news on the website has assisted and also fueled partisans based divisions in many part of the world (Schaupp and Carter, 2016). The company realized to become very cautious about becoming arbiters of right things in a right manner. It is important to understand that the company in true sense has a lot of potential in order to build an international community that can be safe, supportive as well as well informed and also very inclusive by nature. However, in order to understand both the perspectives in a controversy the company begun working with a lot of third part companies for checking the facts as well as also verifies the posts. It helped them to flag off any kind of fake news. The company is now committed to utilize the innovation to keep any kind of controversial posts that poisons the public action or permitting speeches that are hateful by nature and also to bully number of online users.

Every day, the company is trying to become a new as well as strong competitor in the public. Snapchat is also gaining a lot of attention and becoming a strong competitor to Facebook with time and it can also raise the overall cost of all the things from engineers to acquisitions (Toledano and Avidar, 2016).  At the same time, the company gives many online marketers a change to place the business in Facebook on completely new kind of page. The advertiser has the leverage to completely push back on the platform and it further helps the organization to manage the social media marketing in effective manner.  Facebook and their family partner Instagram has been busing looking for different features of Snapchat since the company is becoming a strong competition. The owner of the company also has a family which is growing and along with it, he also runs company which is very large and growing every year.  Revenues of the company are doubling and rising every year and analysts also expects that sales will further rise in coming future. The company is now team of more than seventeen thousand employees all across the world. The company now connects with more than a quarter of the population in the world and this is why the company is aiming to keep investing in an aggressive manner which also means that the overall workload will only rise (Alexander, 2014).

The basic concept is to understand what people thinks about ethics and its value as a part of IT and social media. The concept of implementation of ethical codes is becoming crucial with time. The code ethics is based on the idea that the voluntary kind where there is no type of observation against any type of crime or disobedience. Cybercrime is still the important concern in the social media world. The concept of licensing is also an issue worth taking about since the organization or people tends to buy a program and then it is installed or updated on number of systems (Alexander, 2014).

The major debate is never-ending until the companies like Facebook take a moral responsibility and have sense of responsibility that take them a step forward for the welfare of the society as it is important to lead by example. In the present time, there are number of impossible things that have been made actually possible with the assistance of IT and many companies are fully computerized and they use IT in number of ways in the present routine lives. The use of social media has become part of every one lives and it has number of norms as well as rules that one must follow and also respect. Ethics plays an important role here and it becomes a reflective kind of study for basic nature of moral set of values, social issues and legal aspects. There are number of rules which must be followed and there are certain standards as well to direct as well as control the overall conduct of people at the social platform (Alexander, 2014).
