Why Pursue a Degree in Project Management and Previous Experience?
Project management course is in high demand nowadays because of its high career scope. I choose to pursue this degree because of its high growth potential in future. Project management is usually needed in almost all the industry where they need to manage their time, budget and expansion. This course will help me get a bright career in future without any lack of jobs.
I have completed my first degree in Certifies Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from University of South Australia in 2016. I have done an internship in a company named NSW Department of Industry, which has a project management section. In that company, I used to assist some of the project coordinators on the ways to manage a project to make it successful. I got to learn a lot of tricks and tips on managing crucial projects easily.
From this course, I expect a better understanding of Project management. The knowledge from this course will be applied to the practical area of project management. It will also guide in the further studies on this particular topic. The course that I am pursuing is helping me learn many things that are needed to become a successful project manager or coordinator. A project manager has the discrete task as it plans everything from the starting point to the ending point. It is useful for me because I want to pursue my career as a project manager in a good company.
Project integration management is defined to be a set of processes that helps the organisation to coordinate various set of elements of a project along with analysing the ojective of the competitors and stakeholders expectations (Walker 2015).
Project integration management is very useful for a student, a project manager and everyone planning to make a project. A project has various steps to be followed such as thinking, planning, controlling and finishing. Thus learning an effecting way of integrating these elements in one place will also help me as a student to finish my projects fast. It will also help me learn various ways to overcome challenges in future as I want to become a successful project manager (AS IS
Stakeholder management is very important aspect for the successful delivery of any project or any activity and constitute of an individual or group or any organization who are affected or affects a particular project (AS ISO 21500 2016).
The stakeholders of my project are my teachers, teammates, parents and my mentors that will judge my projects. I need to keep proper coordination with these stakeholders because they are the one that will influence the effectiveness of my project. Teachers and mentors are the one to which I can ask for guidance and help and they are the one that will mark me for my project. On te other hand, teammates will assist me in y project by dividing the task among themselves. Thus, stakeholders are very crucial and should be managed efficiently.
Importance of Project Integration Management
The project scope management is defined as managing all the deliverables, or the characteristics of the project depending on the requirements of the project and to ensure that the processes are mapped correctly and distributed accordingly (Walker 2015).
Learning project scope management will help me map various deliverables of my project completion. According to me, some of the most important processes required for me to finish my project effectively are regular lectures, tutorial classes and timely completion of allocated task. These processes should be effectively done in order to understand each topics precisely and complete the course and projects successfully.
The resources includes the equipments that will be required to carry out the project activities, including the funds, materials, infrastructures and the human resource that can be useful for the accomplishment of the objectives of the project.
Project resource management is the process through which all the resources are gathered for carrying out the various activities for the accomplishment of the goals of the project as resources can often become constraints for any project so their allocation in a very organized manner is required otherwise in later stages of the project problems can occur. (Mesquida and Mas 2014).
The resources required for me to successfully complete the project are the fund, planning tool, time and team members. However, for getting good grades and passing in this course resources that are required are the study materials for learning and gathering knowledge about the topic. For this purpose, books are needed to be purchased. Computers and printers are the other sources that would be required for gathering knowledge about this project. Making a time line for the project is also crucial, as it will help us to manage different parts of the projects effectively. Lastly, my team members are important as they are the active part of the project and without them it is not possible for me to complete it on time.
Project Time management is defined as an important concept of project management because a project needs t be complete on time. Without a proper time management even a high quality task has no value to the mentors (Walker 2015).
For management of time for this project, scheduling will be done, the tasks will be done as per their priority. All the activities will be carried out, like gatherings study materials, purchasing books, accessing the library will be done before undertaking the learning procedure. If proper time management will be is not done then delivery of the projects will not be done on time. Some of the processes to be kept in mind to manage the time are defining, sequencing, resource planning and drawing the schedule. In this step scheduling is done, a Gantt chart should be made so that there is a time frame for the project management and one can easily estimate the time that will be required for each activity and also control measures can be undertaken easily.
How Project Integration Management Relates to the Course
Project cost management is defined as a process in which the budget of the project is planned and managed according to the revenue resources of the company or business and is carried out with the help of various activities such as planning, managing, funding, controlling and others (Phillips 2013).
Budget will be made on the basis of past project evaluation. Budgets are made so that there is no overcapitalization or undercapitalization. Resources should not be wasted neither there should be any shortage for the funds. After making budgets funds are raised from both internal and external sources. Excessive wastage of funds is generally avoided. The aim of cost management is to see that the returns from the project are more than the cost of the project The cost required for this project will be cost that will be required for purchasing and gathering study materials from online sources like e-libraries. The cost will be paid by the money that my parents will provide me for undertaking the studies and funds will also be raised with the help of scholarships from my college and university.
The risk might exist within the organization or even in the external environment of the organization. Risks can be shortage of funds or human resources or raw materials, failure of machineries and equipments, strikes and policies of the Government that might affect the project. The risks associated with the project are sickness, injury, language problems and failure to get proper study materials. This can put a negative affect on the completion of my project and course in the long run.
The marks that I expect from the project are more than 65 percent. I expect this percentage as I have worked hard in completing my project and have kept all the important deliverables of the project in mind such as the management, cost, time and others. Thus, the efforts will allow me complete the task successfully and to know the course in a better way.
roject communication management is defined as creating a communication plan to coordinate every part of the project effectively and contact the stakeholders of the project whenever necessary.
The progress of the project will be communicated to the teachers and my faculty members, with help of the weekly reflective journals, assignments and reports submitted in the colleges. To my parents I will communicate the progress in my studies (Burke 2013).thus all the stakeholders of my project will be well informed about my progress in my course as well as in the projects that I will carry out. It will also help me to join all the parts of the projects effectively when needed.

I have attended all the lectures properly, gathered all the information, study materials for this course so that I may get good score in this course.
