Weakness in Communication and Problem Solving

Development of future work skills

Before the teaching period, I was weak in communication and problem solving. While taking in front of a large audience, I stammered, which created a negative impression about me on the bosses. Whenever I encountered a problem, I became nervous. In the group discussions, I failed to come up with practical solutions. My performance in these skills was so weak that my colleagues used to taunt and mock me, which generated depression within me. I was unable to concentrate on the works, which were allotted to me (Cruses, Cruess & Steinert, 2016). I thought of seeking help from the senior and the experienced members. I came to know about an institute, which groomed candidates like me.

Here, the teachers were very cooperative. They exposed a caring and understanding attitude to the issues, which we are facing towards the achievement of growth and development. When I went to the teacher, he welcomed me. We had a private conversation. His understanding nature helped me to voice out the issues, which I am facing in communication and problem solving. He assured me that this conversation was only for the sole purpose of introducing effective training programs for candidates like me. I provided valuable feedbacks, which resulted in hiring skilled and efficient teachers for developing my communication and problem solving skills (Gamrat et al., 2014). The classes included pronunciation, logical reasoning and maths, which solved my problem. The teachers took the tests in the form of presentations and group discussions. Here, my focus was on making practical application of the learnt skills on the allotted tasks. The teachers inspired us to develop goals, which helped us to make estimates about the future. We were asked to keep track of the stages when we failed to achieve the targets. This helped in making improvements towards modifying the shortfalls.

Development of online environment section

Before the teaching period, my knowledge regarding the online environment section was deficient. I could not operate the computers properly. When someone asked me to do something online, I sat for long hours, staring at the computer. This delayed the activities, which created a negative image of me in the minds of the managers (Kelly & Cherkowski, 2017). They thought of expelling me, as I proved a burden instead of an asset, which became a matter of self-respect for me. I was determined regarding upgrading my online skills. Therefore, I joined computer classes, which enhanced the knowledge of candidates like me regarding computers.

Seeking Help for Professional Growth

When I entered into the classes, I saw that there were many candidates like me, who were unfamiliar with the latest online. The teachers were skilled and experienced, who taught us the basics of computer. The lectures also included internet operations, which made us acquainted with the latest internet applications. I wondered at the diverse usages of the machines. The practical demonstration of the teachers helped me in gaining an easy insight into the internet operations. Division of the lectures into various segments acquainted me with the internet operations (Knott & Scragg, 2016). I practised the lessons, which made me independent. I tried them in front of my peers and the family members, which helped me to evaluate my progress from the initial stages to the advanced level. The teacher took practical tests, where we were instructed to make a PowerPoint presentation and video by logging into the website. I feel that the class on the internet basic was fruitful regarding upgrading the knowledge, skills and expertise on online methods. Now, I can quickly log into the websites for gaining information about various topics. I wonder at my success. The primary drive behind this is the planning, which I conducted for enhancing my computer knowledge (Maaranen & Stenberg, 2017). 

Contribution of the two unit goals towards career growth

One of the unit goals was developing leadership skills and traits, which was absent in the initial stages of the teaching period. I had no signs of a leader. My personality was weak, as my colleagues mocked my behaviour. None of them was ready to work with me. This was the stage when I approached the senior and the experienced managers for grooming me. Some of them refused to take the initiative. However, one of them was very helpful, who provided me with coaching classes on how to become a successful leader. I paid attention to every lecture of the teacher, as he had a matured tone. He asked me to manage a group of people for testing my capability regarding the practical application of the learnt skills into the allocated tasks and responsibilities.

One of the other unit goals was planning and goal setting, which was important regarding exposing appropriate attitude towards executing the activities efficiently and effectively (Megginson & Whitaker, 2017). The teachers inspired me to set goals after developing the plans for carrying out the programs. This inspiration improved my focus towards the actions, which I had to take for the fulfilling the goals and the objectives. Application of the learnt skills into the workplace reflected my valuation towards the efforts of the teachers towards the enhancement of my abilities, expertise and knowledge. This reciprocation was necessary regarding assisting the teachers to earn respect by enhancing the professionalism (Taylor, 2017). Both the goals are interlinked regarding improving the focus towards the achievement of growth and development. Planning helps in exposing a systematic approach towards the allocated tasks. This type of approach is necessary for progress on the path of leadership (Moon, 2013). Evaluation of the developed plans is crucial regarding assessing their effectiveness regarding emerging as a successful leader.

Development of Online Environment Section

Contribution of the two-course goals towards career growth

During the teaching period, my goals and objectives were to achieve fluency in communication and enhance problem solving skills and technological skills. Attending personality development courses proved beneficial for me concerning overcoming the drawbacks of my personality. Seeking expert advice assisted me in gaining motivation and encouragement required for performing the tasks efficiently and effectively. The understanding approach of the teachers enabled me to voice out the issues, which were acting as an obstacle to the process of my growth and development (Nicholls, 2014). Practice assisted me to improve my preconceived skills, expertise and knowledge. Maintaining consistency in the practices helped me to upgrade my performance concerning the identified and specified targets.

 Seeking innovation helped me to broaden the scope and arena of my knowledge. Herein, I can relate the importance of the peer pressures and influences, which opened various avenues before me. However, evaluation helped me to pick the prospective source, which would assist me in fulfilling the goals and objectives. I maintained records for my achievements, which enhanced my awareness regarding the extent to which I am capable of solving the major problems. Experimenting with the issues in my surroundings provided me with the idea of how to solve a problem correctly. Here, I tried to focus on exposing a cautious and rational approach. The career plan was the cornerstone concerning assessing the effectiveness, appropriateness and feasibility of the decisions (Olsen, 2015). I feel consideration of the cognitive theory helped me in examining the extent to which I have been successful in progressing towards the path of development. For once, I felt that the peer pressures and influences are distracting me. However, I realised that these distractions are necessary for terms of reaching to the most appropriate decision.

Conclusion:

This assignment emerges successful in providing an insight into the importance of reflection. Reflective tone acts as a lesson for the candidates concerning systematising the activities. This systematisation acts assistance towards completing the tasks within the stipulated time. Consciousness towards this approach enhances the personality of the individuals, creating positive image into the minds of the managers. This enhancement is further assistance concerning gaining prospective chances to achieve professional development. Setting goals towards the allocated activities are vital concerning assessing the effectiveness of the developed plans. Evaluation of these plans is essential concerning experimenting with the opportunities and selecting the prospective option for the reaching to the benchmark level of performance. Commitment, perseverance and determination are crucial attributes towards achieving success. Giving up can deviate the individuals from their targeted goals and objectives. This attitude contradicts the true essence of leadership, enhancing the personality.

Experience gained through learning attains value when an individual recapitulates about the process. This reflection connotes the ability of the individuals to synthesise the learned facts into their performance. Theoretical consideration in this regards is beneficial regarding enhancing the judgment skills and abilities (Bolden, 2016). Purpose of reflection is served when the individuals emerge successful in projecting its usefulness in their future life. This purpose enhances the personal and professional development. Consciousness and rationality are crucial regarding considering all of the elements to reflect in a proper form (Cottrell, 2015).
