The Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath is a terrorist organization based in the country of Somalia, in the continent of Africa. It has a newly emergent terrorist group that is gathering momentum. It has in recent times been emboldened by the support, both moral and logistical, of the various terrorist groups of the world. The Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath has already carried out small scale terrorist attacks in Somalia, and has several villages under its control. There were rumours afloat that they have been on a lookout for the most opportune moment to target the United Arab Emirates and overthrow the Emir of the country. The attack is supposed to be its first venture out in the international world and create a recognition for itself in order to make a drive towards its goal of setting up a foothold in the affairs of the world. The United Arab Emirates have been allegedly regarded by the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath as a heretic country and the close ties of the country with the United States of America has earned the country wealth by evil means which is way more than all the other countries in the entire Gulf Region. The Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath is thus embarking upon a venture to make the United Arab Emirates its target and get hold of the vast resources of wealth the country has in order to supplement its future programmes. They have a team of talented people from the fields of medical science, mechanical engineering, information technology and army to provide them with the necessary leadership, man power and the logistical help to carry out the war. War equipments in forms of Inter Continental Ballistic Missiles, chemical weapons, automated rifles and aircrafts are owned by them. The financial aspect is solved by wealthy businessmen and the other internationally recognized terrorist organizations, who make donations to them on a regular basis based in different parts of the world, by being attracted by their propaganda messages spread through online means. Apart from that, the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath also indulges in slave trade, ransom demands by kidnapping important persons, sending mercenary soldiers to different parts of the world to wage terrorist attacks on behalf of other terrorist organizations and looting in order to earn the financial means.

Assessment of the Threats

This section shall be providing an account of the specific forms of threats that the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath is likely to pose. The threats can be subdivided under two headships; the major threats that aims to strike terror in the minds of the general public and cause damage; and the critical threats that shall be aimed at paralyzing the immediate response of the security forces.

The footages of the onslaught on them shall be captured and posted on social media platforms such as facebook, youtube, twitter for instilling a sense of fear and tension in the world at large to disseminate the idea that they are invincible and shall win over the world. To disrupt communication and hamper rescue operations, the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath shall be taking over the electricity supply points and power houses, and also detaching the electric cables to cut off the connections.

Two critical threats that are expected wreak havoc has been identified as of now. The aim of it is to attack civilians in order to make them the scapegoat. That shall cause the armed forces to react and fall into the temptation of going on a direct assault with the forces of the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath. Summoning from the mosque and public meetings with people shall also be conducted face to face with people to add that personal touch. The entire course of events that shall take place in personal contact with the people shall be disseminated online as well. This provides an overview of their propaganda.

Having provided a detailed account of the aims, objectives and the course of action of the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath, the final discussion shall focus on the counter terrorism plan that the Government and the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates ought to take.

First of all the entry and exit from the major transit points of the country, airports, sea-ports, international roads must be monitored and the presence of the military and police force must be beefed up heavily (Kaplan, 2017).

Interrogation must be conducted on persons whose conduct shall occur to be suspicious and can pose a threat to the security of the country (Kaplan, 2017).

A strict checking of inflow and outflow of goods and people must be conducted. It is necessary to prevent the cross border smuggling of arms. People having suspicious travel history on their passports must be taken into custody immediately (Argomaniz, Bures & Kaunert, 2015).

Somalia is infamous for the pirates, hence the waterways must be guarded with an increased amount of security. They can easily attack the beaches where the tourist destinations are concentrated (Argomaniz, Bures & Kaunert, 2015).

The army must be immediately prepared for war. The intelligences services should assist them in all ways possible. The aim should not only be to safeguard the country from the attacks of the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath, but also to jeopardize their war preparations by blocking their websites, freezing their bank accounts, raising international outcry to call upon the powerful nations to wage a war against the Revolutionary Front of God’s Wrath  (Kaplan, 2017).
