Purpose of the research study

Discusss about the Visualization Approach for Difference Analysis of Process Models and Instance Traffic.

Companies now days are often confronted about the fact associated with the task of analysing the variedness and the commonalities in between the two or more process models of business and also in between the instance traffic. The research purpose reveals how the varied instances have progressed in the current time. The main objective of this particular research project is focused on determining the ranges which lies in between the difference model that reveals the differneces in between the process variant for the purpose of analysing the redundancies which exists in between them. this is basically done for the purpose of analysing the process re-engineering of the models.

The purpose of this research is to demonstrate how visualization can support users in the analysis task, with the help of business process management. The paper by Kriglstein et al. (2013) will also demonstrate that process model has matured to a level where it can be utilized in practice. The paper reports on the new process model technique that can be used for information access.  In the past years, the interest towards developing approaches for supporting the users, in analyzing process model and the instances, with regard to the differences and commonalities has greatly enhanced. The paper analysis that this is happening because of the need for managing the enhancing numbers of process models and the instances that can accumulate in a  company over the years.  The article will be discussed by explaining the intention and content of the reserach article under study. For understanding the context more effectively, an article based on business process management which illustrates visualization approach for analyzing process models will be examined. Research process of the article will be discussed and along with it other articles associated with the business process management will also be examined.

The main intention and content of the article is to show the visualization approach, for the purpose of highlighting the variedness which exists in between the models of process and the differences which also exists in the traffic instances in a one single graph level. The variedness and differences that exist in the input model are completely diagnosed using the visualization approach and are seen as different models, that merges with the two types of input models in a way that helps the user in visualizing the variedness and commonalities in between the two input models. With the usage of the visualization approach, the users  basically possesses the possibilities of the analysis of the two kinds of models and along with it,  the instance traffic is analysed for the purpose of supporting the tasks, which are associated with difference model of variables and differences in traffic instance

Visualization approach for analyzing process models

The basic concept of the paper is to focus on visualization concept, for direct connected graphs. this is done for offering a base for the existing model of business processing and implementing the notations just like the process driven chain and business process re- engineering. The data analysis in the research processing has revealed that the companies have often confronted with the needs of adopting the business process management for reacting to the new and changing environmental conditions. The comparison of the varied process version and the instance traffic helps in analyzing the impact of the changes. The difference model shows how the instance traffic have enhanced for some part and has gone down for some part. The reason behind this fact is that the path associated with the increase traffic instance was never much executed in the prior versions. The decreased level of the traffic on the other side of the research shows that it was caused by the differences in distribution of the traffic. The reason behind all these facts and changes is mainly the occurrence of some activities which might not be suited or effective for the adopted model of processing. The variedness and differences in the visualization of the traffic and variables makes the impacts of the changes visible so that managers can make the reengineering decision more effectively. This is mainly because the world of emerging technological advancement is penetrating towards information technology. Adoption of the IT in the core process of a  company is becoming inextricably interwoven in performing the activities. BPM will help the company in continuously improving the process and it also monitors the technological advancements, which can be integrated into the development of the effective process through the business process management.

Comparisons of the ideas: Comparing the artifacts associated with the article for detecting that the differences play an important role in the application dummies. For instance, determining differences in the models is important operation in the software development ,which includes versions and change management, software evolution for determining the problem or to detect the discrepancies in between the deals.

The research study by Gao (2013) illustrates the views on BPM that the existing algorithms like process mining, process model decomposition, similarity search and merging are considered well and exploited. The algorithms are further implemented and integrated into tailor-made process modeling tool so that advanced analysis gets integrated into BPM. The processes of business needs complex execution interdependence to properly complete the process. For instance, it is quite possible that varied activities required to be canceled in midway through a  process and some of the activities may require a complex wait and see the style.

Comparison of ideas

The research done by Alane & Porres (2003) reveals that asset management is an important activity in the large software development project. This is in fact, true if the business uses models as the main description of the software. Sooner or later, business will be having not just one but more related models illustrating the same software. The models show varied designs of the same subsystems, varied subsystems developed in parallel by varied designers. In case models are large, business will be requiring tools for comparing and merging varied different models in new one which contains the changes proposed by the developers  Unlike the visualization research article, which is in focus in our research, this research discusses the differences and union of models in the context of version control system (Alane & Porres, 2003). The work is not specific to UML but too MOF. The work has shown varied meta-model algorithms in respect of the differences in the calculation in between the models. The research illustrates a difference calculation in between the two models and merging algorithm  Ror the purpose of applying differences to original model for producing target model.

Another research done by De Moor & Delugach (2006) reveals that for assuring the quality of the software processing, models play an important role. Process modeling shows the software development process which has been sanctioned in companies. The model of practice has illustrated the varied ways of software development. The article focuses on validation process comparing to different models. The difference in the models can be an important source of creativity for the determination of the problems and opportunities of improvement for current work and practice. This article is associated with the business process management as the end output of the research shows that the difference in between the model is sources of quality control, which is the main objective of business process modeling. The conclusion reveals that by utilizing the formalism for the determination of the differences, and while leaving the interpretation of such differences to the domain experts like software engineers, the research has been successful in showing how to balance in between computational power and human intelligence is maintained.

Just like our research paper based on visualization, talks about the problem of displaying differences, the same the research done by Ohst et al. (2003) shows that the existing SCM system in the company work with text file and the documents are diagrams in which one cannot use usual methods for the display of the differences.  The process model technique takes as input a collection of process model and return single merged process model, such that the set of traces of the merged model is the union of the trace of the input model. Thus, applying such type of technique on the fragments discovered that the process model does not impact the appropriateness of the generalization of the discovery technique utilized (Dabaghkashani et al., 2011). The difference evaluation is necessary as the evaluation helps in business process management. The business process management process helps companies by offering real benefits like the automation of the procedures and the processes and stimulating the business process.

Research studies in business process management

Modern engineering practices basically lead towards large model level which exist in numerous versions. This version management system is applied for offering services for capturing and merging the varied types of models. The computation of the difference between larger model is challenging. The study reveals the idea of using the high dimensional search tree for finding similar model elements. Even this search shows that analysis of the difference in between models is a difficult task and so, they have suggested using the pairwise comparison of elements that consumes most of the runtime. S3V model has been suggested which arranges similar model elements next to one another and which also allows determining the similar elements (Treude et al., 2007). The model helps in managing a business in an effective manner as the analysis leads to process management of business which helps in discovering, deployment and execution and in fact, it also offers some level of interaction, analysis of control and optimization of process (Treude et al., 2007)

The reviews in the book (Corchado et al., 2011) are in support of the views of the above-mentioned researchers. The research reveals that for supporting and driving a business process with the software systems actually means impacting the way process participates and conducts the daily work. The analysis of the relationship in between the organizational process and support systems calls  for continuous alignment and evolution of the business process (Daniel et al., 2013). The delta analysis with the workflow employs the workflow logs in the system for comparing the process enactment with the prescription.  Log entries are associated with the instances of business process activities.

Conclusion

The review, analysis addresses the issues which show that currently known algorithms for computing the difference between the models are very slow in the cases of basically large models. The interest in developing approaches for the determination of the differences in between the process models has enhanced in the past years. In this paper, a visualization approach with the objective to highlight the differences for supporting the tasks like the comparison of the two models.  For such reasons, the project represented visual analytics framework based on the extended version. For demonstrating the generality of the approach, we used visualization approaches for a different model. Simulation utilizing our method was performed on the large network. Nevertheless, this basically called for challenges concerning the scalability of the approach and the possible visual analysis. There should be some advanced network evolution model that should support the evolution of topology and realistic behavior of the information. In these types of cases, the researchers in the future will be requiring some sort of extended strategy language for the purpose of managing and controlling the varied applications of the modifications. This particular research analysis has been successful in offering the overview of the area and has even observed that the majority of the variable approaches and difference model approaches have been allowing the visionary approach to be a successful one and they are recommending visionary model. The visionary model approach seems to be one of the main aims for the purpose of comparing the models at one point of time, but it is also starting to shift.

However, this is basically for facilitating flexibility and strength. The research focuses on visualization solution for comparison issues. The framework might be having utility in designing nonvisual analytic tool. Computational and statistical analysis have effective and important benefits for comparisons. Statistics offer an excellent tool for meaning and qualifying the differences and understanding the differences. Visualizing approach excels at determining specific things in a large number of sets.
